Home heating oil is $5.19/gal right now in my part of CT. Never in my life has it been that high ever. That is unaffordable for a lot of folks. I paid $3.54/gal a month ago & thought that was high because gas was under $3. Now itโ€™s approaching $4/gal. This is madness!

Hubby & I voted today in the local election. Lots of folks were out voting. Unusual here for a small town local election. I hope itโ€™s a good sign. I live in a now red town that used to be very blue.

Today I watched my 2 granddaughters ages 9 & 11 go off to school. My grandson age 15 is a sophomore in high school today. Every year I pray theyโ€™ll be safe at school. I shouldnโ€™t have to. My parents didnโ€™t.
