Welcome to Peoria's Haunted Blockbuster! It's been haunted by an Eldritch Horror known as a WorldEater for a while, but I'm more concerned with playing all these old retro games rather then being an existential threat! So you've got time. #vtuber #multicharacter #EldritchHorror

This is true, the Luck stat has worked as intended in maybe... three? Castlevania games. It could be a meta-discussion on the importance of luck in any endeavor, but its probably just that Konami programmers sucked at testing such an imperceptible stat.

You can try all you might but every proper RPG has an essential stat that does not work at all or it becomes the quintessential “Funny Stat” of the game

Its a well documented fact that the best machine for playing Playstation games is the next released Playstation. A PS5 is basically a PS4 Pro Plus Jumbo, and a PS4 has all the PS3 HD ports, so a PS5 is the best for playing PS3 games. Likewise, the PS3 has a bunch of PS2 ports for dirt cheap on it!

My favorite part about doing worldbuilding with an audience is I can go into my lore-questions channel, say "Aight. I got a 10'8" multi-ton dracolich girl that I want airborne, what eldritch nonsense do we think I need to make it flow?" And an hour later all we've got is she tells bad dad jokes.

Another pipe-dream "Vtiber lore in a game" idea. A classic JRPG like Chrono-trigger, where all the Worldeater's total XP are set to 9999, and they can never level up from combat b/c they're just so Ancient they can't learn anything new from beating up local wildlife for a few months. Instead-

Guns, Lucrezia starts doing more then one lazy impalement and unlocks potent healing/debuff items. Especially if the "3 per battle" on a cast of 9 people total is justified by "monster encounters are actually 2 or 3 times the size, non-active characters are also fighting." With the active party-

Determining XP, so the 3 Worldeaters causing no XP gain is because after they fight their 3rd of the ambush, they either go heckle the other two groups or wipe the floor with the other monsters, leading to no valuable experiences had.

Their levels are the average of the party to represent them putting in more effort as the human cast proves themselves as worth it. If you have one person you never leveled b/c you dislike their gimmic, that will skew the Worldeater's levels as they're not there to Help, they're there to laugh at-

A bunch of uncoordinated idiots. Likewise, the game should have a "Max of 3 people out in battle" so if you use all three Worldeaters, you gain no xp and can't level. But if you do level up your party, the Worldeaters start trying harder, Nameless starts using more forms, Kali uses more advanced-

I find it funny that my experience with Fire Emblem is "The max deployment limit I've seen is like 6 to 8 dudes, so my core team is the basic 5 overlevelled dudes the game gave me b/c recruiting new characters is a slog"

Just sold my Thinkpad on eBay, didn't want to but really needed the money. Soooooo if you were thinking about commissioning me at all before I close commissions I could use the money to get a new one.

well i need to make $40 in the next few days to provide a ebay refund that i no longer have the money for

The funny thing about Pokemon Emerald ranzomizer + nuzloke rules is that so far the biggest issue has been that rules as written, my luck worked out in a way that I was unable to encounter a pokemon who could learn cut. I probably could have been fine without it, but I know its needed Eventually

It is midnight in Japan which makes it officially my birthday Would love if you could share this post around showcasing some of my art, or check out the #Ravenspearcraft tag for more recent stuff I've been fighting an artblock lately, but soon I'm staring development of my game! look forward to it

Ever have a single line or two give you enough worldbuilding to make an entire setting? "The reason most cities around here don't have walls around them," the wizard replied with a grin, "Is because a good wall is largely waterproof."

Anyways, I noticed that a lot of magic systems tend to be very limited. Most of the time its just a wizard can throw a glob of Element at one person. Never really see many that take magic to the extreme. More magic systems should let one overly creative person be an absolute terror...

WE LOST TWO LIVES THIS RUN!!! And we had to cheat because the only pokemon I could find that could learn Cut was the Level 5 Metagross in the early forests... Which was fine because we had to backtrack to *get* cut... It was a good mess of a stream! We also got raided by @zarataro.bsky.social

Turns out the phrase is "Steer into the Skid" and not "Skid into the Steer" so I've been needlessly sideswiping cows this whole time. Anyways, Pokemon Monomon Stream time! We have more Magnemites then braincell! www.twitch.tv/eldritchhorr...

twitch.tvEldritchHorrorOfBread - TwitchA WorldEater who's not moving fast enough to be a credible existential threat. Currently haunting an abandoned Blockbuster Video, playing retro games, and collecting more forms to possess! Will do Eld...

I've been thinking about randomizers a bit. Randomization is about as good as the game is in a sweet spot of linearity and openness, right? A game like Ocarina of Time or Link to the Past is good to randomize because its open, provided you have the correct items to get there the game assumes you're

supposed to be there. Its theoretically possible to beat all the Dark World dungeons in LttP by getting the dungeon item, leaving, and going to the next one until the map is fully open. But if a game is too open, then the question becomes "What do we even randomize?" Breath of the Wild is a weird-

game to randomize b/c the design behind a game where you go anywhere and do anything means that there's a small pool of Required Items to do Anything (the runes) and a lot of stuff that... Doesn't Matter (Most of the chest rewards) And Metroidvanias are weird because they sit the line so well-

I feel like you could get a lot of mileage from a Gundam parody that's "instead of a robot the next mecha superweapon is just A Tank" But you'd have to play it to the hilt. The tank IS a mech, its treated like a mech, everything it does is a revolutionary new tactic & NO ONE calls it "just a tank".
