B-movie ass ideas grifting money from suckers. But, I guess you can't have an RTS game without asymmetrical yet roughly equivalent forces. The US is gonna send their genetic freak hounds to fight assault rifle armed Chinese robot dogs. Also, XL Bullies already exist. youtu.be/Zo3Or5zP2h0?...

Wooah! Woaah! Hold on a minute...there was a Barbie doll-like toy for Robotech? And, they DIDN'T make them Zentradi so they could hang out with the 3" action figure line? Lost opportunity there. Speaking as a man who had only sisters growing up. Many a transformer visited the Barbie dream house.

Did you know that as a child Natasha Lyonne was in a commercial for the “Women of Robotech” line of dolls, which desperately tried to fit the round peg of action-based mecha anime into the square hole of girls dolls marketing? Because she was. youtu.be/cI23kZJYMPQ

Ugh...I think at this point I'd rather just hear about it being canceled. The game has been one of my few distractions from the daily news. Now, people are trying to appeal directly to the Trump admin to intercede? Palmer Lucky getting involved? I might just quite playing the game all together.

DOTO WON!! My girl won the Graded League Group A final! Let's GOOOOOO!!!! First time winning a Graded League Group A final! I was resigned to a 2nd place finish; at the most. My semi-finals did not go well. I barely qualified for the final race. A Halloween miracle from Halloween Doto!

#MechTober 14 - Bryan Young Bryan has written a lot for BattleTech including the Fox Patrol, Jiyi’s Jade Falcons, the Ghost Dogs, the Dominion civil war, and covering how Clan Sea Fox starts to repair the HPGs. As a starting point, I recommend A Question of Survival.

Played an old PC-98 shoot em up game that I've heard name dropped occasionally. A mediocre game. But, the in-between game level anime cutscenes are strangely cropped with very suggestive moaning; it's in Japanese so I only catch a few words. Are they having sex? Read the wikipedia article...oohh

I somehow qualified for Group A finals. Unfortunately, I'm probably doomed. The Semi-finals dropped my chances to 2 wins in 5 runs. So, there's a slim chance if I don't get pitted against strong meta picks. I must put my faith in Doto. All hail my clumsy Queen!

The Rice Shower addition to the team worked a treat. It's a Halloween miracle! Managed to close out two brackets. Doto almost soloing one all by herself. However, got completely humbled on the other two sets in this round. Probably a preview of the semi-finals. Still room for improvement.

First rounds of Sagittarius Cup are in the can. Got my A Group pass. Won two brackets with 4 Ws on one. However, the team needs some tweaks. Valentines Bourbon looks to be a menace. So, Cafe is tentatively being swapped for a Vampire Rice Shower with some debuffs. I always love to see Doto wins.

That Cafe is very strong; a killer in other races. I'm hesitant to kick her. But, she doesn't have the "sauce" for this CM and I need what edge a debuffer offers. Out of 15 runs she didn't deliver one win. ( Doto and Taishin are splitting the wins for the team. ) Still love you creepy girl.

I like the full Redline film. But, the proof-of-concept short felt so much sharper and cooler. Which, yeah, it's hard to carry that energy for a whole damn film. I'm glad it's readily available on Youtube. Cause it haunted me for years seeing the movie and vaguely remembering a "better" version.

Catsuka@catsuka.bsky.social

From the 5-min pilot of "Redline", directed by Takeshi Koike 7 years before the film's release (and not reused in the film). It's still just as rare to see such long proof-of-concepts produced for Japanese animated films projects. Full video >> www.catsuka.com/player/redli...
