Trump and his Administration dragged the evils of American history into the present day. Violence, murder, and starvation have a seat at the table and the American peoples and persons within the boarder are laid out on silver platers. Blood spills onto the Klan's old hoods used as table cloths.

I wanted to repost this. This is my piece, Faith Is Dead, for Epistemic Lit's issue on Resistance. epistemiclit.com/past-issues/...

The simplicity of childhood is the complexity of adulthood. Nothing really changes, the voices just get louder. Ms. Hernandez did an amazing job highlighting the life we all live.

Start of the school year means my kid's Girlscout troop starts their fundraisers! They've got a trip to Chicago to save up for (To sleep at the field museum!). *this isn't cookies, that is January* tinyurl.com/5de62ba6

Crappy day—Two pieces recently rejected, but I'm still proud of them and because of feedback and having written a poem, I just wrote a second poem a few days ago. Crappy day beats the rejections, cause I understand the mag's mission, but still. I think I just need a hug and encouragement.

"Grace tripped over the uneven sidewalk." I knew it. I knew... where I wanted to go. Good-Bye Mercy. Hello Grace. From Friday Harbor to Narberth, God I hope there's a story here and time to tell it. I left a woman and her children on a ferry in favor of tragically mundane misfortunes. WAIT...🤷‍♀️😮‍💨

Though the site is still up, it doesn't seem to have done anything since 2023. You can still read my piece on the site though. www.theaurorajournal.org/spring-2021-...

Fun question time: what outlet was your very first piece published in? Was it us? Bc yay super cool! Mine (Kristin) was in Paddler Press @paddlerpress.bsky.social and it was an imaginative poem in which my spouse died and I didn’t show it to him first and he hates it 😬🤪😆

Hi! I'm Jennifer(Eine Togi). I'm barely around, but I used to be. I write melancholy and live in a world or simplicity, though my stories are often more rough than they should be. I've got a full-time job that requires most of my brain, but I hope to tell tales once more.

Hey there! Welcome to another #TBBChat. I’m Linn ( @linnfoster.com ), author of Between You, Me, and the Moonlit Sea, and I’ll be hosting today’s chat. Let’s start with an intro. Tell us about yourself! Remember to chat with others and use the tag #TBBChat. #BookBazaar26

There's a place, not far from where I live, where the remnants of a small railroad bridge are only the supports and a wooden structure. Grass covers the little hills that were once connected. You know what else might be cool a "Coming soon" sign overgrown with vines. An empty lot behind.

Between a number of high-profile hearings and Trump being on camera for hours a day, this was a crazy week. If you appreciate my efforts to chronicle it for you, reminder that the best way to support what I do is with a subscription to PN, which I think you'll enjoy. Paid subs make my work possible.

Shhhh... I'm doubting myself. Anyway, "if you look at your face Every day when you get up and think you'll never be great You'll never be great, not because you're not, but the hate Will always find a way to cut you up and murder your faith"- NF "The Search"

Today I learned one of the services I use for live video will become much more pricy for me. If you're been enjoying my clipping and/or PN but aren't supporting my work, now would be a great time to do so. The best way is by signing up for a paid sub, but I also accept tips on Venmo (@atrupar). Thx!

And, when it fits, he feeds authors compliments too! I don't know what our first interaction was, maybe Pandora's box? But he's been an awesome, supportive friend, and I'm sure if it wasn't for him and a few others, I'd have shoved my writing in the back of my mind and let it rot.

Cool!

Anyone good at organizing other people's poetic thoughts? #poetry

Is anyone particularly savvy at and interested in ordering poems in a manuscript? I think my pieces are done. My order of pieces is not AT ALL. I could use some help if anyone’s interested 😬 #Poetry

So, I was subbing in a 4th grade class a while ago and I read Carl and the Meaning of Life by @deborahfreedman.net to the class. #kidlit is no joke! I hope the kids learned as much as I did and that it left a little joy and meaning in their hearts too.

Nimblewitlit Mag@nimblewitlit.bsky.social

Last week’s The Week, Jr. had a poll asking whether adults should read #KidLit. One of my children was greatly offended that the question was even being asked, and was greatly relieved to see in this week’s issue that the majority of respondents said yes 😆

Some news! I wrote a short personal essay titled "Learning to Live" about living with lupus months ago, and today, it's published through the WhyNot platform for young voices like me. Read it here: I get paid for this one! 🥰
