Might be, but at 2% of consumption it will take tougher policies than that to save the average Brit’s holiday. Obvs, it might be a nothing burger because the strait opens, but this feels akin to reform saying immigrants steal your jobs, houses and welfare. Prices adjust, politics never changes.

Banning private jet flights during a jet fuel shortage feels fair enough to me.

Bruno had a great game, but not everyone is following his lead in fighting for it. Felt we grew into the game but still felt it was going to pens. We need to be better/faster at going forward, everyone is pressing high and dropping deep and it kills a slow attack. #NUFC

Standout over the last two games has been poor on pitch performances. The preseason, the rat, and the transition to building a team around Wolfe Messi is tough. With wissa it might have been easier, but the old triangles, muscle memory isn’t working. Instinctive passes are now to no one. Time.

To clarify, despite some questioning my responses to others on here. I still have faith in Howe to turn things around. Yes it’s been a crap past 2 league games. Yes I’ll criticise his management and tactics. But we’re fans, we’re passionate! We only want to see them fight to the end. #NUFC

#NUFC Shock as Newcastle are the only Premier League team in the bottom half for fixture difficulty and have the fifth-toughest set of fixtures overall. They face five of the eight teams we included in our worst possible scenario for the English clubs. theanalyst.com/articles/cha...

theanalyst.comChampions League 2025-26 Fixture Difficulty: Who Has the Easiest and Toughest League Phase Games? | Opta AnalystFollowing league phase draw for the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League, we’ve used the Opta Power Rankings to rank each team’s fixtures in order of difficulty.

So the transfer window has been bookmarked by our Director of Football leaving at the start and our striker at the end. Got to think the two are related. #NUFC

Come Tuesday Liverpool won’t be interested in Isak. They’ve shown they aren’t serious with that bid. If you’re buying a house, a cheeky bid doesn’t usually get you an invite to serious discussions. But if you’re snide, cheat and whine, it’s normal. They don’t want Isak to play. Classic LFC #NUFC

Bar the tragic Isak shit show, we’ve had a good window so far. Without it, and a replacement for Wilson, we’d have had one of our best. It’s hard to keep perspective with so many trying to monetise our anger, but we’ve made some great additions and we’ve signed well since the T/O. #NUFC

Robert Jenrick, the Tory Shadow Justice Secretary and former Home Office Minister, joining protesters outside an asylum hotel is one of the most disgusting acts by a frontline British politician in living memory.

Happy with that lineup and the bench looks better than it did most of last season. Two top strikers and I think we could challenge for the league with that squad. HWTL #NUFC

Well LiVARpool lose their first trophy of the season. They look fragile at the back, but VAR is firmly on their side so I wouldn’t write them off. I’ll post it in the toon timeline because it’s full of refs at the moment. #NUFC Well done to Palace

I bought my daughter a new Amazon echo and went to set up a teen account to find Amazon now only recognises under 12 and over 18. I assume it's a reaction to the UK Online Safety act and the support suggestion is to sign her up as an adult. Reducing their liability but increasing the risk of harm.

Our inability to sign is a damning indictment of all that’s wrong with PSR. The PL doesn’t care, if one of the 14 does well, they have a great story to sell and can say it works. The shit will only hit the fan when a fallen big 6 is relegated. Howay spurs don’t let us down. #NUFC
