The moment I understood it is not about making it to the summit. You gotta make it back down 🤣🤣🤣! Look out my window! I was i side a literal snow globe 😭😭😭 FIRST AND LAST snow summit

Bye Islas Galápagos! I leave a chuck of my heart here. The places that make you feel small are usually the ones that change you most. #Galapagos #southamerica #santacruz #travel #beachlife

Enough that governments around the world fund volcano observatories. Hazard monitoring, eruption forecasting, and evacuation planning save lives every year. That’s literally why the field exists 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Gradinko@gradinko.bsky.social

how many lives have you saved from volcanoes?

How many stationary objects have you summit? Cuz I did 4 active volcanoes in 48 hours! IT IS ALWAYS A WHITE MAN TALKING SHIT BEHIND A KEYBOARD!!! STFU

Gradinko@gradinko.bsky.social

not much of a challenge to chase large stationary objects

You guys think my knee is busted cuz I summited two strato volcanoes in less than 24 hours (Acatenango + Fuego) or it is cuz I am almost 40??? 🥴🥴🥴😩😩🤣🤣🤣🌋🌋🌋

1- You don’t get to decide what I call myself. I wasn’t asking for permission. 2-Respecting people’s identities also means respecting how they choose to refer to themselves. 3- Your last sentence has nothing to so with my post!

"Mansplaining"? Seriously? My pronouns are they/them. The stupid habit of calling women "girls" and young women "young girls" is rooted in institutionalized sexism. And I reject #sexism and its conjoined twin, #racism. But facts aren't vegan. Btw., "Hillary" and "Kamala" didn't become president...

I love it when a stranger adult man on the internet mansplains things to me to feel important.

Congrats! But why do you feel the need to refer to yourself as "girl"? You are an adult, not a child. Btw., "young girls" are toddlers, not teenagers: #LanguageMatters!

While camp slept I stayed up all night watching Fuego erupt. I patiently waited for the storm to pass. It was worthy! I also cried all night in awe! I watched my first eruption at age 4. It still does not get old!!!

We were 1/4 of a mile from the summit of Volcán the Fuego when the scariest storm rolled in. It became nearly impossible to stand up and we lost all visibility (on a section similar to the devils backbone). We turned around and I was heart broken but ALIVE!!!

I loathe flying to the East coast. There is ALWAYS turbulence and my anti-anxiety meds have worn off by then! 😭😭😭⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️☠️☠️☠️ Worst. Landing. Ever!!!

The Imperial Valley has seen dozens if not hundreds of these sort of swarms over the century we have recorded. A swarm is a group of quakes (dozens to thousands) where there are many quakes close in size and no obvious mainshock. Often the size will grow like we've seen here going from M3s to M4s.

So 2 areas with swarms ongoing in Southern California. A classic Brawley seismic zone swarm today in the Imperial Valley fault. Largest so far is M4.1. These continue until they stop so we will likely see more M3s tonight and may get bigger.

Seems like the world is about to end AGAIN. I am gonna go shoot my shot with Reid Wiseman! 🤷🏽‍♀️😬 The moon is a rock. I like rocks! Slides in DMs***
