The project may be over, but the networks, tools, and trust we built are here to stay. We look forward to seeing European citizen science continue to grow from this foundation. To anyone who was part of ECS, collaborators, workshop attendees, trainers, trainees, colleagues, participants...

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲? Citizen science is designed to be inclusive. But what does that mean in practice? 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 the first episode of the ECS #podcast “𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲?” 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗖𝗦 𝗣𝗼𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗛𝘂𝗯 citizenscience.eu/ecsa/ecs-pod... or in ECSA's YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGtq...

In the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 of the European Citizen Science (ECS) #podcast, we explore inclusion in citizen science: what is working, what remains challenging and what we are not always saying out loud. 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 “𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲?” 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗖𝗦 𝗣𝗼𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗛𝘂𝗯: citizenscience.eu/ecsa/ecs-pod...

ECS is joining forces with iMERMAID for a session that puts citizen science practitioners and municipal authorities around the same table. 🗓️ 7 April 🕚 11:00–12:30 CET 📍 Online

As we are moving to the close of March 2026, we are looking back on an incredible month for citizen science. We launched the 𝗘𝗖𝗦 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 in Oulu opening the month with the 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 at the Valkea shopping mall. View more here: www.flickr.com/photos/19483...

With 23 European and local initiatives present, the day was a true celebration of curiosity. It was invaluable to see so so many people participating in citizen science activities, collecting stamps in their Citizen Science Passports and proving that science really does belong to everyone.
