Another good day out in Chester today. Bit of a shorter visit today, but still had time to stop by some of my usual places (Gnome, Beer Heroes, Spookton and That Beer Place). Stopping off at my local in Ewloe for a drink or two before I go home.

After what feels like an eternity, the Premier League is back today!

Apart from some unreliable buses today, it's been a good day out in Chester. Been to various bars in the city today, including here at @oldecottage.bsky.social. And with the weather being rather poor today, a good fireplace is always nice to see.

After a good day out in Chester (despite the rain!), I'm finishing off the day at the Glynne Arms in Hawarden.

Now I'm at Basement 85 and they serve burgers from Fully Loaded Grill here now. Decided to have it and I have just three words for it - wow, wow, wow! Could be the best burger I've had in Chester! And that's a big claim considering I've always loved the burgers at Chester Market!

Now I'm at Brewhouse, with their £3.65 cask ales deal on at this time of day. Decent cask too, a single hop pale by Brewhouse themselves.

Back out in Chester today, and for a change, I'm starting my pub crawl from the other side of the city to where I normally start! Starting at That Beer Place!

All these alerts going off on people's phones tonight - is this some kind of error? Surely the government aren't using a system designed to warn of actual threat to life to tell people not to bbq in a drought, but only right at the end of the drought when a lot of the damage has already been done?
