Thinking of building Ms Bumbleflower but as many adventures as possible. Basically, her tavern or kitchen would be like the adventure hub where you start your journey and can come back to rest. Thematic, though I doubt this would ever be a bracket 1 lol.

Went out kayaking today (and tonight) with @narmas.bsky.social . Had a good time but might be sore tomorrow. Just a small go on flat water, full moon as bright as a sun (last pic) camp fire foods and otherwise quiet. The vibes were great.

I know it's not even Halloween yet but if you need to budget across months for gifts like I do and want this give it a consideration.

There's a deal on Commander Essentials Kits right now & you should know about it. This week, you get a pack of Commander Shields with every kit. ~$60 value for ~$45. We've tried the apps and the high tech options (and have spent a lot of money doing so). This is better. nerdgear.gg/halloweensale

Cards I like in my decks 36: some players say that giving your opponents anything is generally a bad idea. Breaking parity is all you have to really do because you get more. Rites of Flourishing is a card I've always liked and works well in Xyris for a number of reasons.

Felt like a decently good day, so after dropping off my ballot I went to my secondary LGS and grabbed a few FRA boosters. They were celebrating 2 years there and had 20% a lot of stuff including the boosters. I went back for some more after getting @narmas.bsky.social from work 😁

Got the dragon that's makes dragons out of artifact tokens, and two Lich's Relic which I had just bought a few of 😅 nothing super amazing besides those, but some useable cards for a few decks like the Ghaltas and Sanctum Lurker. Might do a WB planeswalker deck with the that and the W and B ways.

This. Right now I have a plumber replacing valves, need new brakes and water heater, and other stuff I need to plan for. All I ask is for the next thing to be a nice ghost that plays Magic because I cannot afford anymore life-happenings right now tbh.

For the record I did try to fix the leak myself, but when I realized what was actually wrong I'm not about to touch pipes to the wall with my negligible skills.

Expensive things are happening and/or need to be dealt with. Unfortunately, I've run out of options so what's the best way to get the most for some of my magic cards?

I haven't yet summoned or landfelled out a Toxrill in Nissa yet, but I like that the other things I've gotten out have immediately gotten the game going. If I take out the slug, what should I put in that can or could win the game on its own?

Wednesday is going to be a decent day I hope. I'm at least going to vote and if hell happens it best wait til I'm done.

Cards I like in my decks 35: The Ancient One is large creature that is easy to summon and largely easy to get online to attack or block. The problem after that is getting to actually hit players and not just put pressure on them. Wonder, along with some other effects, work well in this regard.

There are definitely worse ways to waste time than on something you like. Wish I had worked harder to the waste my time.

"You've wasted so many years on that card game," you say. Oh yeah? Well that's probably not going to change. And I'm gonna stay smarter for longer because my brain won't atrophy as quickly as yours because imma always be gaming so HA.

According to a large well known online market website, I buy playmats based art alone. This is incorrect. Not only is the sampling size two, I also base it on price.

First game was with Nissa. Didn't win but I was well respected. The game itself was a bloodbath, with removal flying everywhere, and multiple board wipes. The game was against Tam walkers and Caesar. It was a lot of great back and forth. 😁

Third game we pulled out some stops, so I played Xyrus versus Darien (who we had trouble dealing with go figure) Eski and Liesa. End of the game was teetering on who could get there first, with Liesa getting the combo off. I sincerely believe each deck was about to win in the next turn.

I knew in my gut I should've taken them out. Oh well. The games overall were good, with most teetering at the end with each player about to either win or make inroads to do so. Afterward I went and picked through the shops bulk, finding some interesting cards, but that ended early unfortunately.

Last game I played The Ancient One. A player left earlier in the game, so it ended as a 3 pod. The deck did well, and again people had to answer my threats. A timely Massacre Girl helped clear the board before I got going, but alas I did not win. Queza went on to do infinity drain.

Second game was YShtola. So far I much enjoy the newer cards I have put into the deck, but it will need more testing to see how consistent the effects are. Faced off against Darien and Caesar again, along side the Fantastic Four.

Hoping to go to the LGS tomorrow. I look forward to trying Nissa out in another few games with different decks to face off with. The deck itself isnt egg-in-basket but I want to see how long Nissa survives against other foes.

Xyris, Nissa, YShtola and some other deck I'll decide on in a minute ready to go. Thinking the Ancient One. I'm having a bunch of trouble with YShtola winning games in a timely manner. I know it's control with some stax but I gotta get it going, so we're trying out some new cards today.

You make a plan, schedule the time, something comes up to interrupt that plan and you just don't do the thing? Anyone else? I guess it's defeatist but after 10-20 or so years I'm tired of it.

Just grabbed a few of these for my decks. I think it's really good removal with a slight upside to bonk. It will be doubly good in Maralen where I have a few cards like Yarok to let me pay for it twice. While it's not Soul Shatter I think this will end up in a LOT of decks.

I almost couldn't delete a post about my YShtola deck being slightly staxy... Staxy got autocorrected to something else that would have been awkward as hell lol

I really like this, but after not being able to get the last lair I wanted Im pessimistic.

You’re not seeing double. Four Magic artists took four of their own classic compositions through Jace’s Echoverse, and each one came out as something new. See what came out the other side when Duality Distorted arrives in the Chaos Vault, coming soon.

Cards I like in my decks 34: in designing Nissa to be a summoner, I had to fill in the lower part of the mana curve with something to do that wasn't creatures. I decided on a fog and redirection package. Fogs won out, with some "fog" effects like Take the Bait protecting me until Nissa is online.

Totally got to post this. Went on a night hike a few days ago trying to watch some meteors. Trail was very level so navigating it wasn't too hard. Got some good pictures of the sky, but I'm not sure which phone of the four of us got the meteor pictures.

I really needed a vacation. I'm just not getting enough rest or doing what I need to recover from the everyday bs.

To Ren-Fair! With some rain! Got some sort of cobbled together outfit for it this year too. Here's hoping it doesn't look too bad lol

Well.... The fair was cancelled due to weather. Wish I had found that out before getting dressed... Spent the day doing stuff otherwise with the family. Went out to eat, bought a book and got fancy chocolate. 🙂

Cards I like in my decks 33: I posted some other time about the draw being weird in my Rosheen deck and Gilanra here is one of those sources of card draw along with being a mana dork. This helps both with the casting of hydras and other X spells and gets me that sweet card draw.

Finally being able to catch some Nissa gameplay videos for new ideas. It's been interesting to see the legend get different kinds of decks and strategies going at different levels of power.

Not sure this will be good in Rosheen, but it's Fblthp and it gets me more lands. Too bad they aren't into play BUT because my card draw is kinda wonky sometimes I think he will work or fine. Adding some snow lands to up the land tutoring. Eagerly awaiting my mail for this and Ajani's Anguish.

In an attempt to evelate my larger card boxes off my floor I thrifted a stout table for $8. Now I need to get new boxes and start sorting. Boxes very expensive apparently. This will take a while. Are they any good boxes besides BCW brand?

Cards I like in my decks 32: Lim-Dul's Vault is certainly an odd card in name, but is easily a great card in anything where you need to manipulate the top of your deck and acts as a semi-tutor for a card you need otherwise. In Nissa, it does both, setting up for the landfall and boogey man reveal.

I have a strong need to play some Commander today. So many ideas to test. Should probably get those decks together first though 😅

When I played Nissa at the LGS I had Gift of Estates in both games. I thought the card would be fantastic in the deck, but I dropped a land every turn so I could never use it because I had the most lands on field. Ironic. Still testing but my short list replacement might be Expedition Map

Cards I like in my decks 31: Annie Joins Up is actually a card I don't see too often, but does really good work with legends like Rocco here. Everyone essentially draws two cards, and I get counters and tokens doubled when he triggers. The five damage for removal is also surprisingly potent.
