A very different ocean today. Wanted to take a scenic picture of the bay from the other side, but the wind wouldn’t let me push my door open! Gusts of 65 km/hr here in Port Hardy. Thinking maybe I should have brought Gravol.

Coming near the end of our island stay. Had a lovely visit with my Mom and lots of fun with my daughter‘s family. Tomorrow we will be taking care of the grandkids and then Saturday heading home on the ferry.

I thought the rains had come for good but we are getting 3 glorious days of sun. What a lovely start to October! I am pulling my flowers bit by bit, while babying my hand, because I know the rain will be back.

I was busy gardening last week as I had carpal tunnel surgery on my hand yesterday. No gardening for a while now. Pulled some nearly finished flowers, but the bees weren’t happy with that. This begonia still amazes me. One plant that just keeps on going!

Little Labor Day weekend sunset action. Island life. #pnw #sunset #Island #nature #landscape

I don’t like to be political on here, but have been stewing over this all day. Canadians are very upset and feel bullied. This is not Trade, this is control. More Canadians will be boycotting US products and not travelling to the US. We support our prime minister.

Well, someone cut the cables again and took out the cable vision, internet and phones for the whole day yesterday across the northwest. We really need a second line and need to stop these people. Meanwhile, some more great live music last night, Mercedes Brown and this is the Ezra Beaton Trio.

Not much reading happened this month. It was a very busy month. Take a step back in time to get a vision on what went on before Slow Horses (excellent). I really like Louise Penny, but this one didn't quite do it for me. The plot was a little unbelievable for me. (Why?) #SlowHorses ⚡️📚💙
