We doubt that most DSA-LA members who voted to endorse Raman are Zionists. Ideally, we would like to help them (and any other chapters in a similar predicament) in whatever ways are necessary to build their chapter as an important arm of a national party.

Any situation that requires the NPC to enforce standards on chapters will necessarily put the national organization against a chapter’s majority. In this case, the national organization is not just the NPC, but the highest decision-making body of DSA: its National Convention.

No illusions, no abstention! For a mass socialist movement with our own message! And always, for a DSA that is run by our rank and file members!

Much of this debate will occur on vague or procedural terms. Yet we all know this is really a proxy fight over AOC. Whether AOC wins our endorsement depends on her platform, her positions, and the other candidates. One thing is certain: our rank-and-file must decide.

3. Consider *all* candidates! We are opposed to restricting consideration only to candidates running in the Democratic primary.
