At effing last - this year's dissertations are finally marked. 31 dissertations in three weeks. As usual they range from the sublime to the ridiculous. I am in awe in every sense of the word. But right now, I think my brain needs an enema.

Student acknowledges all the help you gave them (as their supervisor) in their dissertation when you've never spoken to them. Are they (a) trying to butter you up, (b) taking the piss, (c) from a culture where you acknowledge regardless of actual help..?

About to mark a final year dissertation. Thought "oh, I wanted to check on setting up for developing pico-8 dev". Started looking at that and bookmarking pages. Thought "oh I need to look into changing the default bookmark folder" and started looking in to that. Forced myself to stop and mark..
