Glad my 10 am hotdog stuck around with me all day.

I know I preach the 2001 Biscuits. Then there is times where I listen to 1999 Biscuits and always think to myself “this unhinged chaos is the real stuff”.

Jamming to what many argue is the greatest Disco Biscuits show ever. I have no argument against it. Just masterful on every level imaginable.

The most unbelievable thing about Pulp Fiction with 2026 lens put on it, is no one now would find a 5 dollar milkshake outrageous.

Eddie Van Halen says his biggest influence was Clapton in Cream. Said it was all he listened to, and all he practiced to. I literally hear zero Clapton in EVH’s playing.

Happy anniversary to one of my personal favorite Allen shows. Insane beginning to end.

Haven’t listened to much Biscuits lately. The last few days have been awesome and needed. Finishing out the weekend on this awesomely dark show.

The 10/25/02 Shelby Rose is so fucking good. One of the best you will hear. Such a beautiful slow jam with a patient buildup until Barber delivers a n absolute ferocious ending.

I wonder if he cares that he stole my seat.

What do you think is the most Dead sounding Disco Biscuits song? I’ve always thought Spectacle sounded like a Dead tune.

People that don’t turn right on red infuriate the shit out of me

2001 will always be my favorite year for tDB, but in 2002 Barber had his tone dialed in the best for my $$$. Guitar always sounded perfect.

Mike fuck around and eat 100 chicken wings today.

A little Saturday light listening.

Love me a good Confrontation peak.

Not sure what my favorite Brownie penned song is, but it’s definitely between Ladies, Lai, Confrontation, and Morph.

There are a lot of songs I wish I could hear again for the first time. IMan is definitely one of them.

Early 1.0 Barber banter is undefeated.

When you have Aron Magner in your band, why as a bass player would you ever think you needed to play a keyboard? If you were Jon Gutwillig, why would you ever think your guitar needs to sound like a synth? Asking for a friend.

Fridays afternoon viewing:

Woke up and all I can smell is caramelized onions. Signs of a successful night.

Brats, beers, Bears 🐻. Perfect night.

Just saw Allen Iverson in a Blackhawks hat. Didn’t think I could like him more than I already did.

Tender Situation in my pants

Listening to the 12/26/02 My Lady Survives and am instantly transferred back to why I Barber is my favorite guitarist.

“I wonder where Frank is?”

Foo fighters really can change my mood from happy to annoyed with one chord played in an instant. It’s really quite impressive.

Saw a birria grilled cheese on Instagram, being made, and now it’s all I can think about.

I love my best friend.

Forgot how incredible this show is.

Basketball started at noon today?

Going through old boxes to try and get rid of stuff I don’t need, and I can’t believe I still have this after all these years. This is circa 1984-1986ish years old. Have had it since grade school.

You do you, but if you are in your 50’s, you’re probably too old to wear a baseball hat that says “no cap”.

Today years old finding out the voice of Waldo in the Hot for Teacher video was voiced by Phil Hartman.

You don’t hear about pool hustlers much these days. Sad really.

Very few things in the jam band world rival the Shimmy peak.

Coffee, weed, and the rhythmic pounding beats of the Professor is all I need on this early beautiful sunny Sunday.

‘Tis the season

Walked into the casino to place my parlay and Van Halen is playing. Think this will be my week 🤞🏼.

The world was better when there were more Jack Daniel’s bass guitars floating around.

First Dead tape I was ever given was this show. Definitely holds a very special spot in my heart.
