"(Ghost) Riders in the Sky: A Cowboy Legend" is a cowboy-styled country/western song written in 1948 by American songwriter Stan Jones. Lawrence Welk and His Orchestra released this unforgettable instrumental version in 1961.

for once the democrats did something politically effective well within the rules and the times wants to scandalize it.
i suppose they should have stormed the capitol and shat on the speaker's desk instead.
Operatives aligned with Alaska Democratic Senate nominee Mary Peltola spent months recruiting candidates to peel votes from her Republican rival. The group worked to coax would-be spoilers into the race to dilute the incumbent's support and help catapult Peltola to victory. trib.al/gWKhuWh

John Legend: "When Vivek Ramaswamy hears of an indicted child abuser who fled the state rather than face charges, instead of siding with the victim, he takes the side of the abuser…Do we want a man with this sort of depraved moral compass to lead our state?"
Abdul El-Sayed: “We are being actively bullied by the dumbest people in the room. Donald Trump is an idiot. He has one genius which is getting attention. Because his dad never gave him enough, because he was a nepo baby, he craved attention and used the bullying tactics to get it.
At the grocery store, an elderly Hispanic couple was in line ahead of me, with a white woman between us. They were talking in Spanish. The woman said, "This is America, learn to speak English."
The older woman wheeled around and said, "Fuck you! Is that enough English for you, Motherfucker!"😅
Love ya, Kamala Harris, but hard disagree. Impeach in the House. Don’t care if the Senate doesn’t convict. If I swore an oath to uphold the Constitution, I’d feel duty-bound to impeach in the House. To at least try. And to be as much of a thorn in the side to this administration as I could be.
Republicans campaigning in North Carolina and Texas less than a week before election day is truly something. Their internal data must be earthquake level bad.
So this 82 homeless woman who they found living in a car with a bunch of cats and possibly didn’t even remember she had a daughter wasn’t even all there and had to be coached on what to say
One Ohio Republican said Acton’s elderly mother was “far gone” and visibly unwell when Vivek's team, along with ad firm the Strategy Group, filmed with her. /
Invented issues
I'd wager that the vast majority of MAGAts have never ever even met a trans person never mind lost out on that elusive gold medal or ring at sports they don't play.
Before the 2008 crash, Wall Street hid massive financial risks using accounting tricks.
Now Big Tech appears to be following the same playbook.
Americans and our entire economy are at risk because Trump’s regulators are choosing to look the other way.
El-Sayed on Trump's cognitive tests: "I went to medical school...In my neurology unit, I would have to give that MoCA exam...The only people that you give a MoCA test to are people who you worry may have cognitive deficits. By definition, if you're taking one of those tests, something's wrong."
That's what happens when close to 100 million people refuse to participate in democracy and stay home on Election Day. Don't do that shit on November 3rd.
Anthropic also warns that a catastrophic AI incident could cause losses exceeding what its insurers are willing or able to cover.
If those losses also exceed Anthropic’s ability to pay, the remaining costs would fall on its victims and society.
That’s a wild risk to acknowledge in an IPO filing.
Anthropic’s IPO filing reveals that H1 revenue grew 14x year over year to $16.3B while operating losses fell 67% to $693M.
Even more remarkably, Anthropic earned $974M in operating profit in Q2.
Despite the headlines about its $80B net loss, Anthropic is close to profitability.
CITADEL: “.. Credit is not done resetting. .. It’s going to be very tested. .. AI’s rising tide will sink some boats, and it’s a wavy tide.”

Bill Maher had lunch with Donald Trump again. It’s beyond belief that someone would so willingly sit down for a meal with such a reprehensible piece of shit. But I’m sure Trump had his reasons.
One way I gauge whether an issue is breaking through is if regular people back home in Nebraska start asking me about it. Multiple people who don’t follow politics at all have asked me about Vivek’s ad against Amy Acton. This is a real problem for Republicans in a way they don’t understand yet.
Top Trump Aide Steve Witkoff, to Vladimir Putin:
"You talk so much about Trump being a humanitarian, you are a humanitarian also, sir. I salute you, and I commend you."
If Trump’s approval continues to decline at a linear rate, you’d basically exhaust independents around -30% (spring 2027) and beyond that the decline would be entirely among Republicans. We should know by say Easter-Memorial Day 2027.
I believe that there must be rules of the road for platform owners that protect the interests of democracy and free speech.
It’s time to regulate social media like we regulate utilities, because social media platforms are now part of critical infrastructure.
Plain and simple.
A lot of Democrats have been suspiciously quiet about the raid on Ilhan Omar’s home, which is why I’m so glad President Obama is speaking out.
We cannot ignore this stuff.
