You cannot buy honesty from someone who has none to sell. But! You can steal honesty from someone who does. It works the other way, too. Stop making it impossible for people to earn and maintain an honest living and they'll stop pursuing a dishonest one.

The proof of that is Zohran Mamdani. He kept his promise to make NYC a more liveable place. Even the NYPD has to admit that the crime rate went DOWN!

The problem with AI is that its creators (both human and AI) use it exactly to fool people. Its public reputation is that AI is all lies and garbage, because it is. The informed choice is to NOT use AI. That's why AI companies are working so hard to take that choice away.

HG Wells wrote in The Shape Of Things To Come that anger is addictive. If you're angry for long enough, you come to need it as junkies needs their fix. The only joy you can feel is fulfilled vindictiveness.

This explains America's right wing media. They're giving their audiences what they want; something, anything to be mad about! If Wells knew he was describing the MAGA movement...

im sorry if this offends but i believe that you are in fact capable of learning new things, improving your skills, becoming a better person, and having a happier life than you currently do.

You are more beautiful than you think. In fact, no matter how you look, you're beautiful and desirable to someone. But you do not own beauty, you only lease it. Sooner or later, time is going to take it back. Enjoy it while you can.

Science is not a destination. It's a journey. There's no road map, not yet. Scientists are drawing it as they go.

You know, Elon Musk has like fourteen kids by four ex-wives. No way is he a virgin. So how come he talks and acts like an incel?

Well colour me shocked that when people’s basic needs are met they commit fewer crimes.

Qasim Rashid, Esq.@qasimrashid.com

Entering month 6 of Mamdani's NYC & Robberies are down 11%, Retail theft is down 19%, & Murder is down 21%—all without "Adding 5000 new cops." Instead, he's invested in public safety free childcare, food, and better funded schools. Safer cities come from investing in people—not punishments.

We're not, they are.

This blew my mind. Some of the largest data centers can require up to 5 million gallons of water per day, equivalent to the water use of 50,000 people. Why are we selling out the survival of our planet to enrich a handful of Big Tech CEOs?

For some reason breweries associate otters with beer. It wouldn't surprise me if Steve has something to do with it.

Apparently some rich bloke down the pub has written off Steve’s bar tab! This is quite possibly the best day of Steve’s life.

In dark times it is easy to become overwhelmed, to feel helpless. That is what your enemies want. Defy them. Deny them this, and let that be your first step toward denying them victory, and then seizing it yourself.

We are worthy! Our desires define only a part of who and what we are. And that part, (pretty as it is), is our own business, nobody else's.

I'd like to congratulate tech Bros, far right podcasts and just the manosphere in general for making a whole generation of young men talk and act like incels. Really, they accomplished a great thing! Terrible, yes, but great!

A couple hours ago I heard an economist on the radio use "The rising tide lifts all boats," to describe why chicken is so expensive now. Supply and demand, he cited; more people are buying chicken instead of beef, so the price went up. It's not how he put it, but in other words, it's gouging.

It's really been three months since the last time I logged on here? Probably more, actually. It's just that scrolling BlueSky alone takes hours.

-thinks something clever- "I should post that on BlueSky, I bet it would get attention." -logs onto BlueSky- "Dammit! I know there was something I wanted to post! What was it..."

Proud to have been told by the ticket person upon entry that we were the first fursuiters at the Revue in its 114 year history.

There are some who will hate you for who you are, for no reason other than you do not conform to their small minded notions. Do not let them sway you! You are a warrior, a person of honor and courage, not a puppet who bobs on the strings of their prejudices and bigotry.

When someone says „Scientists do not want you to know“ you can dismiss everything from there on. Scientists want you to know. They are desperate that you know. They can’t shut up about what they found out and want you to know.
