What I've learned: Super Robot Wars W appears to keep all its game data in 3 (really 2) files, which doesn't seem to be the norm (already knew this) The start of add01dat.bin, the larger of the 2, begins with 4k+ pointers that lead to 3-letter codes within the file Among those codes is IMG...

You ever get a late night/early morning burst of motivation in bed to look up tutorials on DS rom hacking in service of graphics extraction and maybe figuring out how animations in a particular bunch of games are structured

In short, what if I tried this whole thing again but somehow learned how to get everything out of the rom directly instead of relying on ripping sprites and using Cheat Engine in ways it wasn't meant to be

Art timeline goes something like this 2001~2005, Babby Era, generally before getting into online communities. Mostly Paint doodles, incredibly rudimentary sprite work (really just for RPG Maker)

2019~2024, Twitter Era. I was already floating around Twitter before then but Tumblr bringing the hammer down on lewd art made me mostly jump ship. I eventually hit 10k followers over there so that was pretty cool. Slowly drifted away through 2024

2025~Present, Bluesky Era. Abandoned the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. The quiet here is a blessing and a curse but at least this place isn't designed to make you angry all the time. Also more recently the art has been drying up haha oh no...

2006~2011, Pixel Era, a lot of sprite work as the title implies. Spent a lot of time on Mystical Forest Zone (RIP), Pixeltendo (RIP), SheezyArt (RIP). Slowly got more into drawing on paper through the years. I'd acquire a Bamboo tablet at some point, but it wouldn't see much use until...

2012~2018, Tumblr Era. This is where my digital art 'career' really kicked off. Lots of new friends, learned stuff from 'em, started with 'binary' style, things eventually got rougher and more doodley and I kinda lost patience with lining

The art gallery on my site presents images primarily within 1000x700, because I'm weird and like the idea of PCs and browsers of a certain age being able to navigate it, plus there's always a link to the art at full size.
