Just a reminder to push for kicking Linus and all other AI-loving pukes out of Linux development, revert all AI slop patches from the kernel, and go forward with a slop-free kernel.

"Its" as a possessive does not have an apostrophe. Why does everyone think it does? Is it "m'y chair" or "h'er cow" or "th'eir saw"? No? THEN WHY DO YOU THINK IT IS "IT'S"??? "It's" is "IT IS." ARGH.

The AI bots are really hyping themselves now. Anyone who has EVER used AI knows it absolutely cannot be trusted. This is why we need an outright ban on AI. This AI push by bots and brainwashed, jealous no-talent people is going to ruin our society, culture, and future.

The antis like to try to say software using AI to help with development is necessarily more insecure, but I'm at a point where I'd have an increasingly hard time trusting devs who *don't* use AI. We're in an arms race. I want devs to keep up.

So you all will trust a "technology" with finding tons of supposed bugs that can't even get basic facts about things you ask it right? Ban AI from the entire planet. Now.

I don't want to abandon Linux over AI slop. Especially since everyone else does it, too. Well, except for NetBSD, but that doesn't seem to be a very desktop-centric OS and takes a lot to get running, which I don't want at this point. What do we do? It's honestly sad.

I think AI is posting pro-AI slop and defending it against anyone spouting truth. AI has to be banned from use, period.

"Nobody cared about our old VR system, so let's sell it off and concentrate on our new VR system that no one will care about." Can we please let VR die? Nobody cares about it.

Nvidia's drivers are the issue. Compare Wayland and Xorg for AMD or Intel and Wayland is the clear winner. I've seen so many "wayland bad" posts that turn out to be nvidia users that I have to wonder if nvidia is just trying to get rid of wayland because they suck at it.

NVIDIA just dropped hard data comparing Wayland and X.Org latency, revealing the true cost of display protocol choices. #LinuxGraphics sugataai.com/blog/nvidia-...

Sonetimes it's so laughably obvious people are secretly working for Microsoft and posting anti-Linux FUD that I wonder how anyone falls for it.

Honestly, people who complain about Linux have come through a time warp from 20 years ago or more. It's pathetic that people will pretend modern Linux is unusable by new users when everything just works. It's trolling at this point.

All DOS games. autoexec.bat and config.sys nightmares.

Most effort you gave to run a game on PC? www.resetera.com/threads/16...

The GC controls weren't any better. Slow and awkward. The best version is the Dolphin emu hack running the Wii version that translate the Wiimote garbage to actual kb+mouse controls.

289. Metroid Prime (Trilogy port, emulated) -- 8/10 (replay but not of this version) used the same DualShock 4 scheme I made for Prime 3 to good effect ...yeah I'm stickin' with the GameCube version. this isn't really an upgrade from my point of view

I legitimately beat this game back in the day on my C64. One of my proudest gaming achievements. Great game.

Impossible Mission (1984) Another screenshot from Dennis Caswell's classic roguelite platform puzzler, Impossible Mission. If you know the Commodore 64, you know this game - and if you don't, it's one of the system's must play titles. It's very difficult, but also very enjoyable.

Garden hoses? Dang. So every GenX kid like me is ADHD/Autistic then.

This is revealed by a study published in the journal Med , from Cell Press, led by bioinformatics analyst Samuel Tanner and epidemiologist Anne-Louise Ponsonby from the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health in Australia.

Ugh. I apologize for being a closed-minded bastard about some things, for example modern gaming. I should not be this way and just let go and enjoy. My sincerest apologies to everyone. I've been an idiot.

I love CRPGs on old consoles. Exodus. Quest of the Avatar, Wizardry, Eye of the Beholder, Warriors of the Eternal Sun... much better than the boring, story-heavy JRPG stuff like Final Fantasy and related.

Okay, no, wrong. Chili does not have beans. If you like beans in it, which is fine, it's meat soup, not chili. Don't call it chili and especially don't say beans are "essential" to chili. #crosswords fail, 0/10.

He knows it's fraudulent. They know all their policies are based on lies. They aren't stupid. They are using false information to advance their evil agendas of hate.

So I guess we've decided to ignore the major issues with AI (copyright, environmental, factual errors, replacing humans) and just destroy everything good in this world. Enjoy these last few good years, folks. Tried to warn you.

To hell with reddit. Posted a comment on a reddit post about flock cameras that said if they don't take them down, we will, given how historically people have actually done so... and they tempbanned me. They are fascist supporters. Plain and simple. Stop supporting reddit.

It is 2026. Dark mode and click to play (no autoplay) videos should be default on every single damn site on the internet. There's no excuse for having my eyes burned and every video I scroll past play its BS I don't care about. None.

Why do I have to confirm TWICE on my phone that I'm signing into Google, then they send an email saying I've signed in? If your security is so bad that you have to make super-duper sure it's me signing in to the point of actually irritating the hell out of me, Google, you need some help.

It's not even the same security alert which would imply that I've somehow gotten a copy of it. It's two different alerts, one of which stacks the "yes, I did" and the "no, I didn't" buttons right above and below each other making it hard to not accidentally press the "no" one. Come on, Google.

1/? I have been driving a car (new to me) for over six months now. It has that push button ignition thingy. I seem to have gotten the hang of remembering I need to just push the brake+button to start. All my life I've been driving cars with an actual key that you put into the ignition.

2/? Turn the key, start the car, turn it to turn it off. No problem turning it on. But the moment I stop the car and want to turn it off and get out, what do I do? I REACH FOR A KEY THAT ISN'T THERE ON THE STEERING COLUMN AND TRY TO TURN IT OFF. EVERY SINGLE TIME. FOR OVER SIX MONTHS. WHY.

3/3 One would think I was used to this by now. Nope. The act of turning off the car by turning the key is so ingrained in my mind that I cannot fathom just hitting a button to turn it off, apparently. I can remember to brake+button for on, but I can't remember button for off? WHY?

You are up to date.
