Making healthy choices requires mental energy that I often didn't have before. Now I do, and it's full steam ahead. AuADHD: I don't read between the lines and I take things literally.

Undiagnosed AuADHD, and trauma meant mental health challenges all my life. Those medications helped, but lead to inactivity and overweight for me, on top of genetic pre-dispostion. Added into the mix was a mentally stressful career. Since retirement I have made great strides mostly by stopping /2

Every single article I read about Madonna at Coachella mentioned that she’s 67. Not one article I read about Nine Inch Nails at Coachella mentioned that Trent’s 60. ISN’T THAT WEIRD? It’s almost as if everything Madonna has ever said about misogyny is true, or something. 🤷‍♂️

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends. Yesterday, spouse and daughter brought new perspectives to my issue, but it took me time to process. This morning brought a better outlook. Even went for a family dogwak early this morning.

Persephone is 11 years old. Persephone just discovered that Mom-Hooman had something called “comb” that is the best itch-skritch EVER. Persephone now herds Mom-Hooman into the Room of Skritch at least thrice daily, bleating like a goat and nipping at her feet. #CatSky

New Au/ADHD assessor received raw data from previous assessor. Has let me know my IQ is likely higher than previously thought because I was not tested in my first language, which slows processing time, and because my results are homogenous. Now I feel like an underachiever again.

Had my follow up appointment. Have exercises for mobilizing the wrist and thumb. This has increased my discomfort and swelling in my right hand/forearm. Today it is rainy, so all my OA joints are tender. It is not a good day.

Have regained enough weight that I'm back to where I was in September. Realized that it is the Lyrica causing my ravenous appetite and weight gain. I am not going to let this beat me. Steps taken to address my late afternoon and evening cravings. I CAN do this.

Exercises are going well. With the removal of the bandage over the incision, which was quite snug, inflammation is visibly reduced and joints therefore have more mobility. I am already at or near 100% mobility for all exercises after just two days. Scar massage 3x/day also, and ice, too.

Hospital visits were a shit-show of disorganization: I waited 10 minutes for nothing three times in Outpatient, because things got done in the wrong order. My hand is healing well; I have exercises to do, a removable brace, and a follow-up visit with Ergo in 2 weeks. RTC doc + Ergo in 4 weeks.

Rec’d a call back from the Complaint Dept at the hospital this morning and sent her my docs. She said she would get things moving short term and also she would look into what happened in the medium term. Call from Ergo at 3:30 giving me appts for tomorrow afternoon.

To lessen spouse's load we pushed our Valentine's Day celly to Sunday: Filet mignon with lobster dressing, twice-baked potatoes, layered salad and olive sourdough loaf, all home-cooked. Bakery white chocolate/raspberry mousse cake for dessert. She refused my suggestion we simplify. 🤷🏼‍♀️
