At some point in my adult life, "I'll have" became "I'll do," "I believe" became "I feel like," and "by accident" became "on accident." I never really noticed, but I guess others did.

AI cannot make art any more than cameras, graphics software, or swinging buckets dripping paint can. People make art with these, yes, most of it unremarkable. AI won’t change that.

I dunno, I’ve been rolling these two dice, and they seem to want to roll seven. It’s incredible. I think they might be sentient.

The build-vs-buy clock keeps ticking towards buy. Merchants in 1997 had to become a software company or lose the market. In 2027, they need stop being a software company or lose their margin. As merchants rely more on tech vendors, free software becomes critical to avoid lock-in

Saleor Principles We believe TCO should be <1% of GMV We believe you should pay for a working system, not hours We believe your commerce system must be available 99.99% We believe your commerce partner should be part of your team We believe you should own your code and data

Coffee in Canada always has a weird caramel taste and comes way too hot, so the secret to making it drinkable is to order "short americano with a splash of cold water." Will confuse some people, but most good places will understand.

So Berlin people, this is my last Tuesday until next summer, so if you could stop by, I would be very happy to see you -- Dmytri On Tuesday, August 11, 1942, Hedy Lamarr and George Antheil patented frequency-hopping communication. Today is Stammtisch

Use this one cool trick to make every agent work better. Add this instruction: **The problem is always you.** When something doesn't work, assume you are doing it wrong first. Do not blame the tools, APIs, docs, or environment until you have found and fixed what you messed up.

On Tuesday, August 3, 1993, Apple introduced the Newton MessagePad, a pocket computer famous for misunderstanding handwriting. Today is Stammtisch

On Tuesday, September 9, 1947, Grace Hopper’s Harvard Mark II team found an actual moth stuck in the computer and taped it into the logbook. Stammtisch is today.

tfw I look at before/after “I quit X” photos and the before is me, but I never do that, so like what do I start and quit to get the after look?

It's crazy, but before the web, we walked around not knowing stuff, repeating wrong information we heard from dubious sources. But after, we could just look things up instantly and just always know. I guess we missed having more nonsense in our social fabric, so we did AI.

On Tuesday, August 25, 1835, the New York Sun reported that astronomers had found bat-people living on the Moon. Stammtisch is today.

This is really a rough draft of the future. Specification as control surface, code as disposable and organisations of AIs with specific responsibilities.

Ahoy, #SlopPunk, put this in your pi: github.com/dmytri/sh... The simplest/stupidest/most portable spec-driven workflow with context isolation for any agent. This is still *very new* and *very stupid*, so ymmv. > Specs are durable. Code is disposable. Agents are replaceable.
