Can someone please explain how the new logo of @acs.org is related to chemistry? Maybe it does represent the globe and science across borders, but in my opinion it no longer represents chemistry

The new web interface of @acs.org publications is agonizing. TOCs missing from ASAPs/misplaced in issues, terrible URLs, and reading that’s now painful on both mobile and desktop. If page views and readership matter to ACS, this is an emergency. I hope ACS leadership is listening.

[4/4] Before that, Valentine Ananikov taught me how to ask a rigorous mechanistic question, and Valery Fokin showed me how far curiosity can carry you once you get an unexpected result. So many more of you helped too, thank you all!

[2/4] The Eremin Research Group will sit at the intersection of electron crystallography, mass spectrometry, automation, and AI, turning microED/3DED into a quantitative, self-driving science that reveals atomic-scale heterogeneity in crystals, grain by grain. Stay tuned!

@dmeremin.bsky.social Absolutely crushed it with this automated workflow! It ain’t about the size of your crystals, nor the way that they look, that matters…it’s all about how they diffract! Cheers to the whole team!

🚨Hot off the press @jacs.acspublications.org! Your TEM can now solve crystal structures on its own. Small molecules, materials, proteins—all with one platform: REyes, the first end-to-end autonomous electron diffraction suite doi.org/10.1021/jacs... @caltechcce.bsky.social @uclacb.bsky.social

🚨Hot @J_A_C_S : Alkyl triflate hydrolysis at air-water interface defies pH extremes 1-13 with an unchanged rate. Diluting water with glycol slows it further. Stay tuned for our collaboration with @jahandawlaty.bsky.social exploring interfacial chemistry doi.org/10.1021/jacs... #ChemSky

Still have goosebumps from meeting Dick Schrock at #ACSFall2025! Back in grad school I explored metal-carbene complexes and at every exam or review I was always asked, “Is it a Schrock or Fischer carbene?” Thank you, Dick, for shaping and inspiring so many of us

Hope is not something I feel frequently right now, so yesterday was a very special day. I had the privilege to spend the day with the #CASFutureLeaders - meeting each of these brilliant scientists who are changing the world through their leadership and outreach was so uplifting and inspiring!

Overdue post, but heartfelt thanks to Kraig Wheeler, Trisha Russell, Michael Ruf & Brian Patrick for the outstanding Pacific Northwest Summer Crystallographic Institute at Whitworth! A deep dive into small molecule diffraction & Olex2. Highly recommended!

Check out the stunning cover featuring recent paper from @hoseanelson.bsky.social Lab, led by our one and only @daverdude.bsky.social! He discovered an entire class of natural products using microED powered by arrayED @caltech.edu @caltechcce.bsky.social @uclacb.bsky.social

One of the unspoken frustrations for many chemists, finally unpacked by my PhD advisor Valentine Ananikov and his team in JACS Au. Reproducibility is everything in science, and this shows why yesterday’s reaction doesn’t always work today A must read: doi.org/10.1021/jacs...

doi.orgMagnetic Stirring May Cause Irreproducible Results in Chemical ReactionsMagnetic stirrers, the most widely used and ubiquitous devices for performing chemical reactions in laboratory settings, may cause reproducibility problems. Reproducibility in a range of chemical proc...

This is just awesome! Congratulations Michael and team!

Excited to have this published in @jacs.acspublications.org! IsoDec is a new neural network for charge state assignment with high-resolution MS data. We test it for top-down proteomics. It's free and fast, what else could you want? pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10....

🚀🪐 And it’s a wrap for #ASMS2025! Absolutely fantastic plenary by Melissa Trainer on the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Dragonfly Mission to Titan. We need more mass specs to explore space. Thank you @asms.org and #TeamMassSpec for a wonderful week and see you next year in San Diego

Huge congratulations Livia on the Biemann Medal! So incredibly well deserved. You’ve shown us how far taking risks in mass spectrometry can go. I continue to learn so much from you and your fearless path. #ASMS2025

👏🏼 Huge applause to all the speakers today! The Unconventional Approaches in MS session at #ASMS2025 was absolutely phenomenal. We heard cutting-edge updates on reaction monitoring, microdroplet reactivity, acoustic manipulation, and the synergy of MS and microED

Left-handed or right-handed? D or L? R or S? While mass spec is still working on how to tell enantiomers apart, none of that matters when you’re reuniting with friends at #ASMS2025
