Women often ask me: "why are you such a great feminist ally?" But I always reply: "don't worry your pretty little head about it, sweet cheeks." After all, women (all of whom are beautiful) have enough to worry about, given patriarchy suppressing their wages and fundamental rights to bodily autonomy.

the original git blame: the shame polaroid
Her fix wasn’t just to patch the bug. For each crash, she took a Polaroid of the programmer who wrote it, and a note on the mistake. That way, if it ever happened again, they wouldn't be starting from scratch. They could note patterns and the last person who triaged that failure could help.
@chriscoyier.net didn’t know you were in Oregon! Might have to road trip out to Bend tomorrow coincidentally. Great town!
ICIMS & @workday.com are the absolute worst employment application portals. Why is every field a select/dropdown

Looking for a new role (hire me for UI/UX and frontend engineering work!) and am amazed at how much worse of a platform @workday.com is for applications than literally everything else. UX and UI really feels like a 15+ year old website
With modern DJ technology, I can do this on demand with every song in my musical library

Fun fact: in our polling of battleground states, about 60% of voters said it is a “top” or “high” priority for Congress to investigate and hold Musk accountable. Lean into it Dems. He’s a cartoon villain - treat him like one.
Musk is already underwater in polls and if Democrats lean in they can make him even more toxic. He's declared open war on you all and is pushing a toxic, destructive, racist agenda. Maybe it's time to push back? I don't know, I'm just spitballing here.

Replying to @zeu.dev
in this i mean that llms are a tool and multiplier, especially with complicated problems like research and engineering, where tedious or feasibly impossible tasks can be delegated writing and art are for people who have something to say, and therefore generating it loses its value to me
