I'm at the stage of having a childhood pet thats sitting on the floor slowly spoon feeding tiny amounts of wet food so she doesnt throw up, I got her to eat a whole can this time!!

farwah is supposed to be pretty close to all black but i often stylize her color to be more dusty blue/gray. for this art i looked at photos of black leopards and studied how the light contours the body

I have been busy with school and not drawing much but ive been working on a few things. This is younger Blake, more new to earth. also thinking about changing her name to something more geographically/historically accurate (her story is supposed to take place in bronze age palestine) #sphinx #art

I decided to change her name after ~8 years, she will be known as Farwah now, I was pretty attached to the name Blake but a European name doesn't fit into the story anymore. It feels better having her name match her location and culture #sphinx #originalcharacter

Farwah means "companion", i chose it because i feel it suits her having been drifting around humanity for centuries, absorbing their lives and cultures and witnessing their tragedies and advancements, while being too alien to actually be apart of it fully

I wouldnt say she WANTS to be human, like many of these types of characters do. But she knows her actual self and life is rather incomprehensible to humans and wants someone to connect to

Her name situation sounds confusing cause in-universe, she is "born with" an original name that she loses because names are a special thing to her species and its symbolic of her deciding to stay "fallen" on the earth, and shes not called that anymore. Blake was picked cause it sounds like "black"
