thinking about kentucky route zero again. this is a thing that happens far far more often but i'm specifically pointing it out this time.

it doesn't really have one solid answer. it has quite a few. i think that's the point. it's a mystery story. it's twin peaks by way of southern ghost stories. it told me, in no uncertain terms, what i needed to hear: you can't escape. not completely. transition and make art and love the world.

you have to. you *have* to. even if it's hard. even if you can't do it completely. even if so much is always, always going to be out of reach. there is art, and there is debt. that is all there is, any more. you have to love, or you are ground down into nothing. play this game. please.

i was homeless at sixteen. since then, even when i've had a roof over my head, it's always been precarious. just barely getting by every single day. a crushing debt of reality that at this point, i am never going to escape. the american dream rots down here, too. it's just as fictional here.

and here's this beautiful fucking work of art that *understood* this. and it was grieving the same way i was. looking backwards at all this beautiful art, history, looking at now, where everything is decay and stress and loss. and asking: what now? *why* now? and it kept asking, as i kept growing.

specifically in mind because a friend bought it in the recent steam sale, upon the memory that i am an absolute fucking sicko about it. but even that feels like it's an understatement? that game *is* me. i would be a completely unrecognizable person if i didn't find and play it through my teens.

i think being just barely old enough to understand the GFC when it happened kind of destroyed my brain forever. just coming up on ten years old. bright enough kid, thanks to the probably autism nobody cared to notice. wonder in the world. and understanding that everything was over.

thanks to a buddy I've gotten my hands on that there Deadlock. I don't know if I'm ever gonna play this against Real Humans because I will never be a MOBA person. but bot matches and just soaking in the vibe has been carrying me hard. if that rumoured PvE mode happens I'll be a happy camper

that zeroRanger collab in the new unbeatable update was one of the most exhilarating sightreads i've ever done. it gave me the exact same feeling of a panic attack that real shmups do. so. good work guys you nailed it

control resonant continues the Remedy trend of gameplay that is, objectively speaking, kind of simple bordering on lacking in some places, made acceptable by being one of the only AAA companies that seems to know how to make Interesting Things probably my goty.

i will, in fact, deal with the most basic light-heavy-finisher combat system for 20-30 hours if you give me an emotional through-line and the best environment design on the planet. this is a thing i know about myself

spinning those new tracks from the Jamie P collab with @dcellgames.com and getting flashbanged suddenly and intensely with the memory of Stab Something. what the fuck do you mean you assholes were scoring my plunderphonics era too. bastards

after weeks of tadc finale being in theaters and not online, and the incessant Jax discourse that happened in the meantime, the episode is now publicly available. no exaggeration when the Big Scene features a Seeing The TV Glow Planetarium i burst out with laughter. media literacy is dead folks

game good. game very good. I'm very glad that miss antireal got her bag and got her credit. never should have happened. should have hired her in the first place. but this is the best outcome all things considered.

still want a singleplayer campaign component to this. still adore it all the same. come to hauler if you want an ass kicking. from somebody else. I'm kinda a pushover I just send out my funny heal drones

just the absolute most perfect vibes one can imagine for this kind of game. enemy and PvP tuning that makes every single encounter feel different and memorable.

I don't like PvP. prefer to play things without it. marathon makes me itch for player interactions like nothing else. whether it's quick or brutal or long and tense. it's just fantastic. the shells are all gay and trans btw

i really wish this had a singleplayer component. a nice flashy campaign, or even a retuned aand balanced version of the basic loop with lesser gear to compensate but like. damn. marathon man.

danganronpa 2 would have been on this list but I'm still mad about chapter 2 from the first game. if the remake changes this I'll let all 0.3 of you know

looking forward to the new Evangelion. even more homoerotic Shinji/kowaru scenes but this time A2 runs them both through with a sword and the plot carries on for another three episodes somehow

buy unbeatable. play unbeatable. get slightly put off by the pacing of unbeatable. realize the strange pacing is on purpose in unbeatable. cry at the ending of unbeatable. play space warlord organ trading simulator music in unbeatable. unbeatable.

every assassin, early in their career, makes the mistake of not turning damage numbers off, this giving away their position when standing too close to a sconce
