LRT i've been doing this lately and the funniest part is when you're not obsessed with the part of succeeding and getting enough of likes and rt and comments, you can get surprised by people liking your work and appreciating it more! so yeah, OP is right: focus on yourself and having fun first!!

i need to draw the entire group for Halloween so maybe it's time to start cracking ideas for costumes. art from 2023 tho, which a friend saw Noel's costume and its original color palette and warned me it would be a terrible giveaway so i used Noel's usual palette, lol

tbh maybe it's thanks to me being so stubborn af that i can draw things. bad art or nah, i just draw it. i only got a terrible slowdown because of the loss of my ol' storage SSD in late May 2025. but otherwise? i'm too stubborn to stop, lol.

and no, if you don't know a bere minimum how to use them as guides, and have so little skill to draw, you cannot even "cheat" the system like people tend to yell at you for using bases. i've witnessed the ol' dA base period, many people didn't know to properly draw cloth and stuff with them.

i think 3D tools are incredibly good for that, to guide and give you an idea. you can trace over them to get the basis, or slap in a second canvas and try the best luck on drawing them from scratch. part of me things i've improved fast since i got this app program in 2017 lolzies.

you have to practice, learn stuff (art fundamentals at least) and then put it to work. somehow it starts working later. which is why i think me being constantly drawing stuff compulsively and trying to expand my horizons when i get hit with the "i wanna do something crazy" made me evolve lol

i love CSP because of those models. i usually don't really need them, unless i want them to be size consistent (so i can make a group picture, like the ref art for the Amas Stellaire members, Daichi and Sorrel for example), but they are good to use as reference model for lots of stuff.
