K, so I've gotten a good amount of new people on this app so I'll do one of "those posts". Names Roque, pronounced rocky for those who speak English. I drum for multiple projects, including Gunderslam, a cover band named funky brewster (I also play bass in said project), and owlbear (live only)

Did I just stay up til 4 am to finish reading book 5 of the "Dungeon crawler Carl" series? Yes. Do I regret it? Also yes. I am very sad now.

FUCK IT. BLAST BEATS OVER SPICE GIRLS

I know this comes off as "try hard" but these songs are a good tempo to warm up to without absolutely destroying my hands and feet while them going brrrr

All that to say, don't forget to warm up kids. You eventually turn 39 and everything hurts

FUCK IT. BLAST BEATS OVER SPICE GIRLS

This next one goes out to the homie @supitscarrie.bsky.social FUCK IT BLAST BEATS OVER BACK STREETS BACK

10 days until Meta claims the right to scrape your website to develop its AI. Your consent? Apparently unnecessary. All it takes is someone sharing a link on Facebook or Instagram - or you using Meta's services. If you're a business or artist with intellectual property, watch the clock.

Jason Kint@kint.bsky.social

As Nieman Lab first reported (and followed up Saturday after Meta announced a revision), Meta is unilaterally updating its commercial terms next week in a manner that might claim sweeping rights over intellectual property across the open web. Significant concerns remain. 1/3

Hey just a quick heads up if you're using Bandcamp - I got this obviously dodgy message via the BC messaging system earlier today Just forwarded it to their team and they've confirmed it's bogus and they advise not to click the link #bandcamp

I'm so happy I started going to concerts alone. Sure, being with someone else is always great and all, but, not missing one of my favorite bands cause I don't have someone to watch with me is peak

Wedding went great. Couple were incredibly happy all around and a night I've been dreading for around a year is over. Yay!

Roqdrummer@roqdrummer.bsky.social

DJ'ing a wedding is such a roller coaster of emotions. On the one hand you get to meet two strangers on their happiest day that they've been stressfully planning for months or longer. Everyone's in a great mood and you provide entertainment and keep things on schedule/ the rails. On the other hand..

If something goes wrong on your end, you just blew up all those plans and now everyone hates you and you ruined someones (a lot of peoples) special day. That anxiety sits in the front of my head until people are dancing and having a good time. Thankfully, at least thus far, today's gone well.

Last show I asked @gunderslam.bsky.social to get me drumsticks. I was in the midst of a pay toll so I was only half paying attention and typed 2B instead of my usual 5B sticks. For those unaware 2b are THICC bois. But I got them so I figured might as well use them and mannnnn blast beats are easier

I'm no physics major but the fulcrum seems easier to manipulate with the thiccer sticks, so huge upside. Down side is RIP my heads and cymbals

Theres an at least 95% chance we're gonna have to put one of our cats down tomorrow. Its the first time ive ever had to do this to a "pet" (read as best friend) I'm in shambles

22 Sept

Thanks for the love and messages yall, a bit of an update. Wed is his Vet visit and we'll have to make a decision with them on whats the best route. He was unable to breathe through his nose last night but has been better today. Hopefully theres a path to recovery but well see.

I love you max.

Hoooooo boy that performance felt good

Also, just to put my two cents in being from the area. You absolutely want to keep MAG at the gaylord. Moving it would kill the Ethos of the event I imagine. I get that its moved as its grown but a lot of my favorite MAG memories are way past 2 AM making new friends and

Enjoying random misc things that you can only find at MAG at that time for example: finding hallway DJ's and bands you might otherwise ignore cause you have actual organized things to do during the day or stumbling into MAGFast doing every megaman ever.

Hopefully the quick sell out pushes more people to BITgen to see some acts they might only see there or MAG super. Or MAG stock or hell even make magwest more attractive as an option.

Mag selling out in 5 hours is fucking WILD but it really does prove how big VGM and gaming in general has become. Happy to see it. Hope all the performers have amazing crowds and have an amazing time. Ill be experiencing fomo and watching on stream
