RIP Walter Koenig. I'm watching him be held back by Scotty from socking a Klingon right now. LLAP #StarTrek

Today's protest has some special guests. #MomsRising brought a lemonade stand to help focus on the issues Pennsylvania is facing, such as high gas and groceries. #MondayswithMcCormick #ActionTogetherNEPA

The Osterhout Library had a waste canvas cross-stitch class tonight. Everyone else picked normal beginner projects: tote, hat, etc with a small motif. I brought a denim jacket and started stitching an IDIC on the pocket. LLAP #OsterhoutLibrary #crossstitch #StarTrek

Seen on Facebook. As I quilter, I say what a wonderful idea!

I can’t tell you how much I needed this message of hope from the great President Barack Obama. 💙👊

To understand why Trump can’t let the Nobel Prize go, you have to understand the man's motivation. Trump’s political identity was never built on a coherent conservative philosophy; it was shaped in the furnace of personal grievance against Barack Obama. cbwrong.blogspot.com/2026/10/the-...

I’m setting up my 2027 bujo backwards. I ordered the cover first. When it gets here, I’ll see which journal fits it best: Leuchtturm or Moleskine. I’ve used Moleskines before, but the Leuchtturm pages are already numbered and that’s less work. I might just get the B&N brand one. #bulletjournal #bujo

I haven't written anything substantial in months since I've been crafting so much. My brain itches. I think it's time to do the StoryADay challenge in November. I filled the first page of a fresh comp book with one-word prompts. My goal is to fill the notebook. I miss NaNoWriMo. #writing #storyaday

Now we're at the traveling Vietnam Memorial at Nay Aug Park. I still think they should include the soldiers who died later from causes related to what they experienced there.

This is bonkers. #releasetheepsteinfiles

Just because I liked the image. Mom and I are visiting the bookmobile exhibit of the Epstein files and we got some tea from the shop hosting it. #releasetheepsteinfiles

Applause for the always apposite Brian Bilston!

I'd rather have an economy that makes 1,000 millionaires than 1 billionaire.

I have had it, stop protecting men! Stop asking her name! #Pinks #USDemocracy

She does not like to be questioned at all. She gets visibly annoyed. Not a good look for a lawyer. The other lawyer is cool as a cucumber even if he doesn't have the info needed. #nodatacenters

Just gotta say, the female lawyer for Green Mountain is a snotty little jerk. She's actually worse than the main lawyer, who isn't here tonight. Atty Richards just challenged a piece of evidence and she sat there with her mouth pursed and nose straight up in the air. She was pissed! 😁#nodatacenters

Looks like Green Mountain's witness for tonight won't be here, so this one might be quite short. The video showed drone footage of the whole campus. Dear gods, this is the SMALLEST proposed campus? 😬 #nodatacenters

Green Mountain is up tonight. The data center people have a video for us tonight. Only have a little bit of basketweave in the center motif. I hope I finish it tonight. #needlepoint #nodatacentera

The return of data center needlepoint, working on my biscornu while listening to the Essential Energy guys. Let's see if I can get this one done tonight. #nodatacenters #needlepoint

While listening to council meetings in Montreal, local mayor Sue Montgomery decided to knit in red when men spoke and in green when women spoke, when similar numbers of both attended. Day 1 results.... #WomensArt

Slow progress on the biscornu. I've had to frog a lot because I didn't like the way the stitches worked together. Still haven't settled on one for the background of the purple and gold side. 🤔 #needlepoint @sidewalkpirate.bsky.social

My first attempt at kinusaiga. I just need some of the black fabric I have in my stash at home for the background. I had fun. Now I have an excuse to use all the fabric I have saved up for quilting that I haven't gotten to and maybe even buy more. 😈 #OsterhoutFreeLibrary

Watched this little guy while I was at the park stitching. Well, not so little.

The two sides of the biscornu are painted! They're not perfect, but I like the way they came out, especially since they're my first attempt at painting canvases. Got the other threads today, too. Ready to start stitching tomorrow. Time for bed now. ( Sidewalkpirate.bsky.social ) #needlepoint

Just look at this adult female Harpy Eagle ... Absolutely beautiful‼️🤯

My progress so far with the canvas painting. Needed a break from the one on the left so I'm using the back of the one I messed up to do the second side of the biscornu that these will be. Taking a break from both to read for a bit. #needlepoint

Well, my first experience painting a needlepoint canvas has been interesting. I screwed up counting the chart on the first try, but the second is working out. I have more to go but so far it's good. 😁 #needlepoint

Meeting is over. It was short this time and mostly a few public comments and the closing arguments. Since it was so short, I didn't get all I wanted to do on the turtle, but the decision will be published within 45 days. Here's hoping for a no. #nodatacenters

Data Center needlepoint is back! Time for public comment. A lot of the people who signed up to comment aren't here, but there are some, at least. The Wildcat lawyers tried to get the entire council to recuse themselves. None did. 😁 Let's see how much of the turtle I can get done.

Baby elephant, big drama. Little Moon was happily bimbling around until she realised she'd lost track of Mum. Cue a very full-sized bellow from the little three-month-old – and a frantic dash back to Melia, who was, it must be said, unconcerned! www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/news/updates...

Happy #StarTrekDay! We want the internet awash in love for this hopeful, thought-provoking franchise, so here are some banners that celebrate the different flavors of #StarTrek! Which series is your favorite?

Happy Star Trek Day!

I think if I was to cosplay a character from 9 to 5, it would be either Roz with her toilet paper notes and French lesson book or Violet in her fairy tale costume with a bluebird and coffee cup with a poison cloud coming out of it.

It never fails to amuse me that so many people stop and comment on whatever craft I'm doing when I'm at a concert or meeting. They always seem boggled by a person stitching while listening to someone. Gotta keep my hands busy. #ADHD #stitchinginpublic

The artist is Lacey Crime. I'm frustrated that this wasn't shared with the initial Reddit post. Instagram/laceycrimeart Great account to follow - she has a lot of similar videos.

This is getting ridiculous. Someone buy the Grim Reaper some glasses, please.

I decided to go with Ferngully after Best Little Whorehouse. Hexxus is one of my favorite villain roles of Tim Curry.

Fun fact: I grew up watching The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Never batted an eyelash at anything in it because my parents never made a big deal out of it. When I went to buy my first DVD copy I was boggled by the R rating. Then I watched it and realized, yeah, this deserved the rating. 😆

This is the letter kids got at the end of Dolly’s Imagination Library. I defy you to read this and not cry.

Dear Grim Reaper, your aim sucks.

Y'all, pay attention. This is happening right now in Texas. Threatening libraries and schools and professional associations. They're never "banning books." They're just "taking them out of schools."
