Deven Rue 🏳️‍🌈🏴‍☠️

After quite some time of them being closed, I've added a new tier to my Patreon for commissions. This makes it easier to pay over time to get something created by me and at a discounted price! Limited availability so grab a spot while they're open! rueadventuring.com/posts/new-co...

My heart breaks for our grey tabby, Minxie. She's got the worst allergies right now and has to take medication. Thankfully she gets extra kitty treats and love whenever possible.

We've updated our handle for our new all-encompassing, all-powerfu...we mean, one website to rule them all...wait...that's not right either. Fantastical Geographic is now Fantastical Publications so all of our zines can be on 1 site without being too confusing.😁

What the absolute fuck?! Seriously? I'm so over FB and Meta.

I did a massive rebuild of Fort Kelvin from @keengamesstudio.bsky.social's Enshrouded and *finally* made a video of it! There's so much more to the build but I just wanted to share some of the highlights www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb0g...

We're looking for ranger related "confessions" to add to an upcoming issue! Comment below with your "Our ranger won't stop collecting animals!" or "I didn't become a ranger because I love nature. I became a ranger because I hate people." Choose to leave your name or add "anonymous" in your comment.

Due to last week's incident, tonight's Haunted Library tour will be employing the Buddy System. Bring a friend who is braver than you or can defend themselves. Poor Ms. Andrews is still recovering from a sprained ankle and the ghost of Purspurry the 3rd has yet to come out down off the bookshelves!

It's #SelfPromoSaturday! Let's see what you've got! Rules: 🚫 No GenAI ♻️ Repost 💙 If you see something you like, like it! Let's help each other get out in front of more people! #ttrpg #artsky #ocsky #writing #rpg #booksky #ttrpgCommunity

I'm updating my map collections on Patreon to include new formats and higher resolutions, starting with some of my most popular creations like my Icewind Dale map for Rime of the Frostmaiden.

My morning was interrupted by being locked out of my house for an hour. We're getting those spare keys made today. Only a living here a year already! lol

I love when someone's artwork instantly inspires a story!

I have new PNG & WEBP formats coming out for all my maps, starting with my map of Barovia! Subs of my Patreon get an exclusive darker, grittier variant never before seen! rueadventuring.com/posts/barovi...

I have been asked about offering my creations in other formats and resolutions so I am now working on it. Starting tomorrow, I will post updated map files with some new variants and formats. www.patreon.com/DevenRue/pos...

Across Time

Meet Mr. Wolf, the last of my 5 new charcoal pieces 🖤 I’m happy with how it turned out & definitely want to experiment with more complex elements like this in future pieces. The full process & some behind-the-scenes are on my Patreon. Join me there – link in bio 🖤 #charcoal #fantasyart #charcaolart

Of course I have a cursed version of the Amulet of the Raven. What shiny object would you sacrifice to appease the raven gods?

Do I always forget how long it takes to paint these little @devenrue.com islands? Yes. But I think that’s because I love them so much!

The first of many items to come with the cursed version to be posted tomorrow. I also included this amulet in FanGeo's first issue, Liora, as a quest reward.

Me, sorting through my items catalog from my decades of GMing: Damn, I have a *lot* of cursed items. My entire table in unison: we know!

I'm not saying it was a quest hook, I'm just saying I'd feel pretty stupid if I ignored it and missed the beginning of my adventure.

‘Tis the season for all things spooky, scary, and supernatural! The latest issue of FanGeo is perfect for those game masters looking to add a little Halloween flair to their table this month. From cursed trinket shops to sexy vampires, our team has got you covered!

🗺️ The Divine Empire of Cirrhul, a map for Innkeep. The compass rose. And part of the decorative border. process below. #cartography

Had the GREATEST honour to paint the Briarwoods for Critical Role a while back <3 ~~ #dnd #criticalrole #critters #art #ttrpg

We're back! Fantastical Geographic is back after a few months hiatus with our biggest issue yet! Read a few haunting tales, learn about decorating for the deceased, get the 411 on Paranormal Investigator must-haves, and loads more! GMs get maps, NPCs, new creatures, and more!

Bringing the Diva Backpack to life for an upcoming issue of a new zine we're coming out with next month! I have so many fun trinkets like this that I've collected over the years and I love repurposing them beyond my home game 💜

Happy 7th birthday to this goofy girl, Ruebee of the Squee 🖤🤍

Spooky issue of @fantasticalgeographic.com comes out in a few days but there's no time for rest! We've got TWO issues coming out next month!

🌸 Evedines Psychic Blade 🌸 A manifestation of what once has been and what has been taken from her by Mother #ItemDesign #DnD #D&D #TTRPG #Art #Prop

Only a few more days until #FanGeo returns!! And of course since it's spooky season we've got something chilling brewing for your #TTRPG inspo 👻

We are LIVE! Couldn’t wait til the 14th to drop it!

It's so wild to sort through my campaign notes and find so many fun things I can bring to live with a little work and some art. So many fun memories associated with a lot of this stuff as well and to bring them out for others to add to their games is just amazing. I'm excited!

I finished the town map of K'venak which I designed during one of my cartography tutorials. And I actually remembered to record it! Enjoy! And if you want the map to add to your own campaign, you know where to look.😁

If I haven't already expressed it, I fucking *love* making the covers for the books I create for NEAL 😆

Tonight at NEAL: Have you reserved your spot at the séance? If not, you need to! Especially as the veil is thinning during this time of the year! Ask that aunt where she kept that pie recipe! Find out if grandma would actually approve of your fiancé. Did your great-uncle bury his money in the yard?

Oreo has reclaimed the @devenrue.com/Critical Role map blanket. Mac WAS snuggling under and on it a bit ago, but went to investigate a noise, and Oreo took his opportunity. When Mac returned he nudged Oreo & looked at him with a hint of sadness before flopping down to nap.

Attention: A leather pouch filled with green slime was found in the Courtyard after this mornings MAT session. If it belongs to you, please come get it before it destroys another one of the practice dummies.

Of course I had to make a support group for people like @caitmayart.com and I. 😆

The next FanGeo issue is turning out to be our largest issue yet at a whopping 55 pages!

My commissions are open! Please get in touch if you are looking for art :) leeshahannigan.com

D&D Fighter Eevee!

Do you have a ranger subclass available in your shop somewhere? Would you like it included in the directory of an upcoming issue from @fantasticalgeographic.com? Post your link below and let's get some eyes on it!

I have 4 book clubs created for the library and channels in our Discord set aside for them because honestly, I want to read some real world books and talk about them on there. Here are my ideas for the clubs: tmsone.org/book-clubs/

WHAT IF... a man opens only 2 emergency commission slots for BW sketch portraits just like these? this weekend, hand-drawn. photo reference or fictional character. 40USD paid upfront. would this work? hit me up via DM if you want to try it.

I'm sitting on my hands to try and stop myself from posting a recent book cover commission I did, so have some other book-ish related things instead while we wait✨📚
