Two years ago, Trump went to McDonald’s and promised to lower costs. Now, a Big Mac costs $5.79 and prices on everything else like groceries, gas, rent and utilities have skyrocketed.

Working people are facing skyrocketing prices on everything and struggling to make ends meet. But don't worry - the President is laser-focused on demolishing and building a new DC golf course he’ll probably name after himself. We need elected leaders who put working people first.

Trump: "You have a golf course right now -- it's old, tired, beaten up, it's useless. It doesn't do much business. We want to do something great for Washington. We're going to basically build a better golf course. It's going to be one of the great courses."

Remember all the tech bro billionaires at Trump’s inauguration? He had them all at the White House yesterday. Again. He’s on their side, not working people. This is why we need AI guardrails.

Working people need a government that works for them and focuses on lowering costs, not making billionaires and CEOs even richer.

Five months ago, the Treasury Secretary said we’d have $3/gallon gas by now. It’s September 21st and prices on gas are at record highs, and the costs of everything else like groceries, rent, and utilities are still out of control.

We wouldn’t consider it “managing his agency competently” when there are consistent outbreaks of preventable diseases and groceries that can make us sick or kill us, but idk maybe we just set expectations too high for RFK Jr.

RFK Jr. complains about following procedure at HHS: "I have to manage my agency competently, according to the law"

Elon Musk and DOGE put federal workers in an impossible position. If they stood up for our essential services, they risked their jobs, and they could be forced out anyway. This… doesn’t seem like eliminating waste OR helping government efficiency.

cnn.comTrump administration paid federal employees $9.5 billion not to work in 2025 under DOGE plan | CNN PoliticsThe Trump administration last year spent $9.5 billion on paid administrative leave for federal workers as part of its plan to shrink the government and save taxpayers money, according to a new estimat...

Ah yeah, THIS will help calm workers’ fears of AI taking their jobs and invading their privacy and destroying their rights.

Trump: "The only control or 'guardrails' that AI needs is a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT, and the U.S.A. has that, in spades!"

Making up another BS name can’t hide the law that gutted our health care to give tax breaks to the Trump admin’s billionaire friends.

AFL-CIO@aflcio.org

The President’s Big Ugly Bill is so unpopular that they gave it a new name: the “Working Families Tax Cut.” It’s still the same bad law: Ripping health care from millions of people and jacking up prices for everyone else to give tax breaks to their billionaire friends.

Trump’s pre-Labor Day message to working families already struggling to make ends meet: “you should be working more, actually.”

Trump says Americans have too many holidays and that people need to work more days to boost his failing economy

The Reflecting Pool this morning, after spending nearly $15 million to not actually fix it (should have hired union workers!). Now, they have to spend millions more to fix it… again. Efficient!

What CAN we eat at this point? Lettuce causes diarrhea, we have screwworms in our meat, blueberries can kill you — and Trump’s economy has made it so we can’t even afford the groceries that can kill us!

The government agency that is supposed to help Americans during emergencies and in their most dire time of need was being led by a “shadow administrator” paid by a company owned by a member of DOGE. Concerning!

wired.comFEMA's ‘Shadow Administrator’ Was Paid by a DOGE Member's Startup for MonthsDetails from recent court filings show that DOGE's influence within government—and potential conflicts of interest—extend further than previously known.

Trump’s administration screwed up the Reflecting Pool and was willing to throw an Olympian in jail rather than own up to its incompetence. Next time, just hire union workers to get the job done right the first time.

nytimes.comTrump Concedes There Was ‘Some Contractor Error’ in Reflecting Pool RenovationsThe president had insisted for weeks that the landmarks’ algae-stained waters and peeling lining were the fault of vandals, not the project itself.

A year ago today, in an insane abuse of power and disgusting waste of resources, Trump deployed the National Guard on D.C. A political stunt that has cost taxpayers millions and used our nation’s capital as a backdrop for attacks on workers’ freedoms.
