sometimes I think about getting back involved with the one big union but then I remember how much it broke my fucking soul to watch the dill pickle food coop successfully bust the union in that shop. we fought so hard for those workers and we lost and it is so hard to not blame yourself when you do

something broke in me with that. the NLRB is such a deeply broken institution fully and entirely captured by the forces of capital. and even in leftist society, telling people to play outside the NLRB 's contractualist system is met with such fear

we spent so many hours out on the picket line with them, shared so many meals together after grievance meetings, filed so many ULPs with the NLRB, spent so many hours in court, and in the end none of it mattered, and every active member of the union was fired. one by one.
