I have a PSOne (the slim one, SCPH-101) and my goal is to play through the original Silent Hill through it on my CRT. I've already got a backup disc ready, but no amount of disc swapping is working for me. Any advice on how best to go forward? ODE, modchip, etc? #psx #modding

Thank you Idle Reader X Mrs. Jones Coffee for letting me sit in and share my book today! #cold-magnolia-a-debut-ya-novel

Been writing an Arduino library recently. Going through the grueling process just makes me appreciate #circuitpython that much more. 😮‍💨

Time to clear out my work calendar...

When an open source community gets together to solve problems, it gives me butterflies. 🦋 #opensource #openhardware

I've been using EasyEDA Pro to design PCBs recently in order to streamline my PCBA ordering pipeline from JLCPCB. It seems up to the job, but I find myself missing KiCAD from time to time. What PCB design software do all of you out there use? #electronics #diy

#CircuitPython has had a load of improvements to audio recently. I've been having lots of fun taking putting it to use in live audio. Can't wait for others to discover what's possible!

They're killing Google Assistant and replacing it with Gemini everywhere. I've attempted switching to Gemini, and it was an absolute joke. On the other hand, Google Assistant is a tool that I'm able to render to my needs. Can you tell that I'm not happy about this? #AI #GoogleAssistant #Gemini

Does anyone have any self-hosted open source options worth checking out? It might finally be time to exit Google's ecosystem.

Been having a lot of fun recently with the upcoming experimental bidirectional I2S audio support in #circuitpython. This is making guitar pedal programming an absolute breeze! But I'm having some difficulty with the ADC preamp on my codec. Anyone out there willing to go over it with me?

I can attest to this. I owned a 2012 Nissan Leaf for 5 years. Only ever changed tires and wiper blades.

One aspect of electric cars that doesn’t get enough attention among the general public is that there’s basically no maintenance. #EV I hate that I have to spend a bunch of time and money to take my gas car into the shop this week for routine maintenance.

Nearly done with a touch keyboard STEMMA QT module with pretty NeoPixels! Any interest out there for this kinda thing? #diy #electronics #synth

With all the #playstation news about ending physical game production, I'd like to put my hat in the ring by saying that about 99% of the games I own are physical and I will go out of my way to avoid buying a game if it's digital only. A digital license means you own nothing! #physicalforever

Every recent update of #vscode is filled with improvements to their AI coding agent services. It makes me wonder what cool things we could have had by now if developers weren't being redirected from their normal work to improving the way that we make AI slop.

Seeing my fellow open source programmers push out vibe-coded AI programming still leaves a terribly bitter taste in my mouth. 🤢

Although I love my base M4 Mac Mini, the 256GB storage really starts to hit when every SDK I need to install is 20GB+. 😮‍💨 #zephyr #m4macmini

Y'all, the BlueSCSI V2 is awesome! Using the Toolbox software is a total game changer when working with Mac's HFS formatting and multiple CDs. #powerpc #bluescsi #powermac

Picked up an old PowerPC 7500/100 Macintosh from the thrift store for next to nothing. Fingers crossed it works 🤞 #macintosh #powerpc

Update: It boots with the chime and everything! The internals are very clean with no corrosion/bad caps (that I can tell). Only major issue is that a lot of the plastics are in a sorry shape, very brittle. That, and I don't have the correct video adapter! Got a Mac DB15 to VGA adapter on its way...
