First new year's resolution: DONE ✅ I promised myself to revamp my personal website/blog over the holidays to give myself a good reason to blog more frequently again - and I just published the first new post on my blog in almost a year. dbodky.me/blog/revivin...

dbodky.meReviving the Homelab Part 1: ArchitectureAfter nearly two years, it's time to have mercy with the Raspberry Pi running all(!) my selfhosted workloads. In 2026, I will bring back my beloved Kubernetes-backed homelab!

Uploaded my first YouTube video for my company today, and it's been a great experience. It's unlisted and will only be shared with a specific group of people, but hey - baby steps 😉

Onboarded all my Grafana Alloy collectors to @grafana.bsky.social Cloud Fleet Management and the whole experience was so smooth 🤩 What took the longest time was figuring out how to still run Alloy inside a container, with cAdvisor and all - expect a blog post soon! Can‘t wait for GrafanaCon now 🥳

Two more talks for this year got accepted today 😎 let‘s get cooking and learn about #docker, slim and secure containers, and #otel together!

First talk for the year accepted, can‘t wait to craft another portfolio of engaging talks and workshops on various technologies for 2025 😍🤩

Since the beginning of the year, I‘ve spent 1-2h (nearly) every day programming. The amount of break-throughs regarding understanding and my mental models of certain things is unbelievable. Consistency is key! 😊

Exciting news! We have secured a venue for Kuberoke London 🎉 The ultimate Karaoke party will take place Wednesday, April 2nd at Be At One Liverpool Street in London City. Registrations will open soon, so keep an eye out on this page. kuberoke.love/events/sprin...

kuberoke.loveSpring Party London 2025That Cloud Native conference is coming to London and to celebrate the occasion, we are hosting a Karaoke party on Wednesday April 2, 9pm - 1am (TBC) at Be At One, London.

I know I am super late to the party but plan to do due diligence on Sunday on a super long car ride. How do I get started with running LLMs locally? I‘d like some introductory material that is more thorough than copy-pasting stuff. If you don‘t know of resources, share for reach pls :)

Just configured @grafana.bsky.social alloy for my homelab within 5-10 minutes with their #ansible collection and it went almost too well. 😳 Maybe I gotta write up a blog post or talk, because I haven‘t heard much about it before. 🤔

I have some availability for consulting or contracting between now and April. Need help with Cloud Native, Kubernetes, DevOps, IaC? Let's chat. Please share for reach ❤️

Fighting with Harbor today… why does it assume so much? (Proxy, cache, database, certificates, logging sidecar) Just give me env variables and a compose skeleton/Helm chart and let me configure more myself. 🥺 #homelab

I just bought a domain 🤩 I won't be building a product, but creating an application for learning and teaching purposes will be an equally rewarding journey, I'm sure. #buildinpublic

Would people be interested to read a blog series on how I create a cloud-native demo application from scratch for use in a large variety of workshops ranging from Docker to Kubernetes to CI/CD practices?

I’m just a few days back on Bluesky, and engagement and interactions with other users are already higher than on the bird page, despite <10% of followers 🤯 AND there are no bots 🥳

Guess who’s back 😎 After BlueSky finally gained momentum within my beloved tech bubble, it‘s time to stop lurking and start posting again! I‘m looking for new folks to follow, old friends to meet, and new things to learn!

I spent yesterday evening at our local CNCF meetup. We had interesting talks about how to build regulated, secure platforms for software developers. Seeing the popularity of many of the tools we advocate for at our company also feels good! Until next time!

A week ago, I came home from DevOpsDays, so it's time to share pictures! A big thank you to the organizers of DevOpsDays Amsterdam for organizing. It's been a blast! Thank you to my cloud-native friends and co-workers as well, who made the event go by waaay too fast. Until next time!

You are up to date.
