Woah, Saturn...chill. Leave some moons for everyone else.

The Independent@the-independent.com

Earlier this week, Saturn gained a whopping 128 new official moons, as the International Astronomical Union recognised discoveries from a team of astronomers in Taiwan. The sixth planet from the Sun now has a grand total of 274 moons, the most of any planet in the Solar System.

What a sad day. Losing these businesses is a devastating loss for Halifax, our communities, the employees, and the people who have come to rely on these businesses. #HaliSky

Until America gets over it's Trump phase Canadians are going to have a hard time not seeing you all as the enemy. It's fine to say you didn't vote for the guy - but you all need to check in with yourselves and figure this shit out. Big work needs to be done in your country.

Get your coffee from the cafe down the street instead of Starbucks. Read a book from ECW or Biblioasis next instead of Harper Collins. Drop an extra $5 in the band's tip jar. That really is all it takes.

Next time the U.S. needs aid with fires, maybe Canada should hold back until they receive a thank you and expression of gratitude from the Oval Office for the last time we sent help.

Our pets bring us so much joy, especially during times when everything else seems to be going wrong. My good friends are going through a difficult time with one of their pets. If you can spare a penny, anything helps!

There is no need for any Canadian government to use a U.S. state media tool. Apparently, Halifax needs public opinion to help it make simple decisions. Survey below.

#Halifax has a survey for residents asking what social media they use to get their information. The deadline to fill out the survey is March 10. So, that likely means Halifax won't ditch X before then. www.halifax.ca/home/surveys

1/2 Just finished Cobra Kai. This has been one of my favorite shows in years. It had no right being this good, but Zabka & Macchio still got it, plus an amazing young cast. 🥋 #CobraKai

Yeah..just what Canadians want right now... A right-winged career politician who campaigns solely on buzzwords and his inability to form a complete sentence without throwing Trudeau's name in there like some sort of weird tick.

Pierre Poilievre, the front-runner to become Canada’s next leader, has become a darling of the American right. That support now risks becoming a liability as he faces an electorate worried about President Trump’s threat to annex Canada.

Repost. That is all.

Russia’s military used a drone with a high-explosive warhead to hit the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine overnight, damaging the protective shelter that prevents radiation leaks, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine said.

Good to know not everyone is a pushover, like Big Tech.

Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons: -We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S. -The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous. 🧵⬇️

Wingspan Asia. Wingspan is one of my favorite cozy games, and I'm a big fan of the Asia expansion. The Duet mode spices up the two-player gameplay, and the more compact size of the game makes it perfect for bringing with us wherever we go! #BoardgameSky #Boardgames #Wingspan

Going away for the weekend. I need to pack food and clothes, but all I am thinking about is what board games I will be bringing. #PrioritizeBoardGames #BoardGames #BoardGameSky

If they wanted to take over the country, they only had to wait like three weeks until every technocratic nerd was unreachably distracted. They fundamentally do not understand us, and that is why they will lose.

It's slippery out there today. I took a slide down my stairs this morning, landing hard enough to break one of the steps. I am starting to feel it now. Most importantly, the coffee stayed in my thermos.

Officially pulled the plug on all my Meta accounts this evening, and while I'm not looking for a medal or anything... *holds out hand impatiently*

On CBC right now: Ottawa Senators fans just loudly booed the us national anthem at the hockey game in Ottawa. They are playing Minnesota. Having been to a few hockey games in Canada I can tell you that just doesn’t happen.

Lately, it feels like North America is playing a game of Civilization, with every leader making the craziest moves they can. ..on the bright side, this reminds me that Civ7 is coming out soon. #Tradewar
