So it seems Forever Beta re-enabled "Title Friends". It still functions the same as on 12.1 PTR. I added "Peter One", shows lvl 10 rogue. (img 1 & 2) They switch to alt, shows lvl 1 alt. (img 4) Does not show other faction as online though (img 3). #worldofwarcraft #warcraft #midnight #wowforever

As it turns out.. The new friends are called "Title Friends". 🧐 They function as BNet, but without BattleTag or showing other games. 🤔 Friend request to Jeff & they accept? It will also show when they're on Jane, or Joe. I do not like this privacy-wise! 😭💢 #worldofwarcraft #warcraft #midnight

I understand that some people prefer "B.Net Lite" and want it so that their "WoW Friends" (IG naming) can see all their characters for easier social opportunities. But I do hope we'll get some communication on this, as it being acc-wide is not communicated anywhere publicly. Mutual accept is good.

For context, the Forever Beta using the new Title Friends UI still shows this updated info for "World of Warcraft": "These friends are restricted by character and game." It did update with "The recipient must accept the request to become friends" at least.

Last but not least, some minor bug fixes will also arrive @ 0.6.2. - Main and dedicated windows will now properly respect your History Size settings instead of capping at 300 messages. - Plus, a fix for Blizzard emotes and rolls clashing with "Total RP 3: RP Name in Quest Text".

Names in NPC speech bubbles! 💬 "Format NPC Dialogue" (Adv. Formatting tab) now display your chosen (RP) name right inside the NPC speech bubbles. 🎉 You're no longer doomed to be just 'Johnsw', but you can be referred to as the one and only true 'John Stormwind'. 😉

Retroactive Main Chat ⏪ This is a small quality of life update, but "Apply to Main Chat" will now work retroactively. Emotes and rolls already currently on your screen will automatically reformat when you toggle it or change your name display settings.

With today's update: Pending changes can now be moved over to another outfit. Pending situations are also stored. Closing the Transmog UI with pending changes and then reopening it will automatically select the outfit you were editing.

The Main window now correctly hides the New Message Indicator when you switch targets (focus/mouseover/target). 🫣 Because it did not immediately wipe, it might've felt like it stayed longer, because other new messages coming in (after the switch) would add their own timer to it. 🧐

Last but not least (of the noteworthy changes)! 🎉 Hovering over an NPC will no longer wipe the current history you were viewing. 🫡 NPCs are real yappers, but Eavesdropper is player-focused. So it was accidentally trying to show you a chat history that did not exist. (Oops) 🫣

Changes! 📣 - Full French translation! - Performance improvements (Chat & RP names refresh faster!) - "Name Display" override on every window, default "Follow Profile Settings". - Group & Mentions can show up to 1000 messages. - Main window now has optional new message flash.

Fixes! 🛠️ - 's & ", " starting emotes will now properly display. - Dedicated Window broken "Rename" removed. - "Format NPC Dialogue" turns itself off when 'Total RP 3: RP Name in Quest Text' (addon) is detected & used. - Scrolling in Main Window froze timestamps & messages.

Clickable Senders for Groups & Mentions! 🎉 Hovering over a name will show it underlined, informing you it can be right-clicked. It'll bring up the unit menu so you can quickly whisper, invite or make a Dedicated Window with them. This'll enable some quicker interactions.

Name Display override for Main / Blizzard Chat! 💬 Not strictly a new feature, but if you prefer to see just the first name in Blizzard's chat while using Full Name in Eavesdropper that's now possible. Also some minor redesigning of the Advanced Formatting page, see below.

Clean, Recognizable Layout! 🎨 With the help of @peterodox.bsky.social (Narcissus, Plumber, DialogueUI), each window features a clean icon. Instantly know what type of Window you're on, no more guessing. We've also added a thin scrollbar, which pops out on hover. For easier scrolling!

Dedicated & Group Persistence! 🧠 Sometimes the game needs you to /reload, or you need to take a step back and you get logged out. No worries, because all our windows now persist everything for you between sessions. If it was open at session end, it'll restore itself! 💪✅

Profiles Revamp - Export & Import! 🔄 Switching between PCs a lot? Want to share your friends your setup? Just like to keep a backup? We've got you covered in 0.6. 👌 1. Export profile / global settings. 2. Store or share the text. 3. Import it. 4. Busy RP session saved! 🙏

Groups Player List! ✅ To make consolidating people together easier & improve context: - Add your current target to a group through the title-bar menu. - In that same menu, you can remove (or re-add on error) players quickly. - "Jump to Context" button has been added as well.

Mentions History! ❗ Every message aimed at you in one place, from keyword hits to Blizzard emotes (e.g. /poke, /wave). 🫵 Requested by members that play roles that assist people (bartenders, vendors, etc.). 🫡 Also features a "Jump to Context" button for every message.

Mentions are that familiar Eavesdropper timestamped chat log. 🧾 Together with the earlier mentioned Jump to Context button: When pressed, opens a dedicated window to that specific chat message! ➡️ Open it: - /ed mentions. - shift-click minimap button. - right-click yourself.

I still can't understand that cross-fac addon comms weren't in Midnight. 💢 Cross-faction guilds and cross-faction neighborhoods exist that -CANNOT- RP together unless they are: - Grouped - In a In-Game Community - BNet Friends Elixir of Tongues is also still needed.. You can do better, Blizzard. 😭

For Plumber users: A new issue emerged in 12.1 where the Housing Dashboard appeared empty due to an unexpected interaction between the addon and the game. It's been fixed in the latest release, so remember to update your addon.
