Just left my eldest at her university for the first time. I know it’s a right of passage but boy is it tough.

Yep. That’s about right.

www.theguardian.com/money/2026/s... Well that’s cheered me up today. Well done. 56 and looking for a job.

www.yourbillericay.org/community-ce... Now I love a community celebration as good as the next person but there is a great deal of Reform blue in the branding around the town. Also GB News are here. And lots of flags have gone up.

It’s World Suicide Prevention day. As someone who has come close to becoming another statistic, I just want to say I’m still here. I hope to be here for a while yet. It’s tough sometimes though.

Sorry @robinince.bsky.social . I was the strange guy that stopped you in Billericay High Street earlier to incoherently offer my thanks and appreciation for what you do. This has taught me to have ready made speeches ready in case I bump into people I admire. Anyway have a good gig tonight.

Ah no. Dolly gone. 2026 is turning into 2016.

Outrageous! FIFA bending to political pressure! I’m shocked I tell you. Shocked!

Springsteen's commentary on MINNEAPOLIS. Powerful song! www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWKS...

Watching the World Cup draw. Possibly the worst thing I have ever seen. Peace prize!!!!!!!!!!

Good advice ⬇️

Ian McMillan's early stroll tweet. "Early stroll. A tree’s shadow cracks the pavement. I wonder what the sky tastes of? Headline: the newspaper van pauses to let me pass. A paint tin lid like a fallen moon. The dark lack of a hole in the road."

Do one thing every day that scares you. Me: **reads the news**

Merry Christmas one and all. May you get through it without ghostly visitations.
