try this handy mnemonic, it’s so simple

storygame theoryslop: i've invented a new categorization system to describe all modes of human behavior using one of 8 Valences OSR theoryslop: finally i have proven once and for all that system does or doesn't matter (it depends) trad theoryslop: here's how to replace levels with feats

New art at last! Trying really hard not to apologize for my hiatus. It’s been a busy past few months, between moving, cons, and traveling for fun, but I’m finally settling into a routine again. I’ve wanted to do a Dungeon Meshi tapestry for a while 🌿

the discord subforum feature is maybe the most anything has ever felt like going through hidden subterranean crawlways to talk in a small, metal room. you can feel the weight of the program around you when you're in there, and the air isn't good or fresh

My SIL is teaching remotely at a school in southern Illinois and I was not ready to learn about the mascot

Think about Miss Piggy. She lost a best friend and now an ex-lover in matter of 24 hours.

I really cannot think of a greater honor than to have the Muppets say this about you upon your passing

🚨BREAKING: Our union of over 12,000 baristas are officially calling for a Starbucks boycott. Read this statement penned by Starbucks workers on why a boycott from ALL customers, allies, and organizations is necessary to fight back against corporate greed:

we’re at costco and my husband ordered a hot dog from the cashier and the guy said “what flavor” and my husband said wat and costco guy said “jk there’s only one flavor. it’s hot dog” and my husband said dammit you did this to me last time and the costco cashier collapsed in giggles

My contribution to the trans spidey trend ^_^

The phrase "woke 1" 1. sounds incredibly stupid 2. is always immediately used to cede ground to the far right to say "you’re right, we said a bunch of stupid bullshit that was embarrassing and we should be ashamed of it but we've changed" which just makes you look like an unreliable jackass

Today is the only day you can experience Ray Bradbury’s “There Will Come Soft Rains” on the day it is set. Audio: archive.org/details/brad... PDF: thephilosopher.net/bredberi/wp-...

“Do Dead Malls Go To Heaven?” Experimented a bit with a new way of detailing the tiles. Kinda like it? This particular piece took a hell of a lot of work. I’d love if you shared the vibes it’s giving off, for research purposes. (WIP process in comments)

Me, a wizard: Where hast my scrying orb gone? I cannot seem to find it anywhere in the tower... perhaps this is a cruel trick from my dark warlock rival! My Capricious and Gluttonous Familiar:

Saying we should all go back to physical media I think misses the point. I actually *like* buying games and movies digitally for a bunch of reasons. What we need is better consumer protections so the things we do buy digitally are actually owned and companies cant delete/revoke access!

Swords Without Master by Epidiah Ravachol This year I had the delight of helping Unwritten Earths Symposium bring this tabletop role-playing game to book format via contributing the cover and a set of glyphs/icons that illustrate game concepts and mechanics.

one of my favorite small bits in utena is when she's having some important conversation and just casually being in a handstand or backbend all through it. i'm sure you can read symbolism into her being upside down but also im just fond of her teenjock-isms

adolescence / revolution so excited for the utena movie viewing soon.... #art #rgu

was looking for undershirts and so many of the product images were of clone gangs

my latest @consumerreports.org investigation is based on months of reporting and 120+ lab tests of popular snacks over a third of the products had more additives / contaminants in 1 serving than what health agencies have identified as safe to consume daily 🧵 www.consumerreports.org/health/food-...

It's bizarre how repeatedly people keep hijacking the conversation about Accessibility away from things like closed captioning, colorblindness support, alt-text for screen-readers, etc, to "Games should be easier to play, books should be easier to read, and shows should be simple to understand"

praying i get picked up by an ambitious indie RPG to do character art some day but in the meantime i just have to put all my single comms together like this and hope someone sees the vision
