Seeing this demented cautionary bible tale in a poorly fitted suit, shuffle on stage to talk about whatever stream of consciousness his remaining addled neurons can cobble together. Is feeling like elder abuse with his handlers doing nothing, as we watch his decent into madness in real time.

You gotta feel bad for Richard Nixon. It would have never even occurred to him to just lie about objective reality, deny and deflect any allegations, and then stay in power with zero consequences. Also somehow win reelection and cement a one-party, if not one-man rule for the foreseeable future.

@iwriteok.bsky.social @coolzonemedia.bsky.social hey guys, FYI was listening to the latest ep of Behind the Bastards in Australia and it had an ad for Woodside energy - which give no shits about climate change, emissions targets or environmental protection www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

the kimmel thing is bad but as long as they arent rounding people up indiscriminately based on race, building concentration camps and talking about eradicating those they deem sexual deviants, i think we’ll be ok

Reading the 27 grievances from the US Declaration of Independence, and whoa boy. Parallels to current events are wild. "For imposing taxes on us without our consent" "For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Jury trial" "For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offenses"

When I inevitably see war zones with leveled buildings, I can't help but think of who lived there, their unimaginable pain and loss. Then my brain keeps going, thinking of all pets and animals. Who've lost their people and have no understanding of what's happened or why, and that fucking breaks me.

Australia has a long history of shitty racists and the occasional genocide (also losing wars to emus) but this is the first time I've seen mask off fascist shit around. Can't say I'm particularly enjoying having to keep and eye out for Nazi stickers to take down.

Listening to Peter Dutton pretend international students are responsible for increased house prices made me almost have a nosebleed. Even assuming EVERY SINGLE UNI STUDENT is international, that's still only 5.7% of the population. 27.7 million people live here you absolute disinformation goblin.

There's two #Federalelections coming up in #Canada (28/4) and #Australia (3/5) - both have incumbent governments which usually see swings against them. They'll be canaries for how the rest of the world is reacting to America's creeping authoritarianism.

Home networking, an ADHD journey Before: Moved in 3yrs ago, used a random pile of stuff as a stand as cables didn't reach the phoneline, with the router, the hub, etc, all haphazardly balanced on the switch. After: Wall mounted network box, patch panel, custom 3d printed racks. Rate my setup.

Meanwhile Enron is hell bent on defunding NASA so he can outsource it all to his own companies. No conflicts of interest though, he will self determine those when they come up. Ignore that this behaviour is itself a textbook example of a conflict of interest. Everything is going great.

America doing victory laps right now is like being mid race, hanging upside down in a crashed rally car, and while talking shit about the other racers. Meanwhile you're on fire, your own pit crew is stripping the thing for parts around you, while saying it's too expensive to use a fire extinguisher

S: This time Indy stops you whipping a child to death. SG: Why are there children?! S: Oh sorry, you're forcing children to work in a mine. SG: ... *Starts crying* S: Also we need you to be Indian, so we'll put you in brownface and a turban.

Are the 1% actively trying to summon the rest of the bros?! Luigi (Afraid, unwilling hero who faces his fears in a haunted house) Mario (Brave, faces dangerous lands to hunt down the villain) Waluigi (Chaotic, unhinged Slenderman) Wario (Reckless maniac, will do anything to steal all your coins)

At least we can now say that we've got the data to prove that infinite money can buy power, but it can't make you likeable. Imagine the good you could do with unlimited resources, yet billionaires just end up being the most sad pathetic losers - who under any other circumstances would have my pity.
