I've been flying drones for years, but never quite found one place for everything that matters: wind, rain, clouds, and whatever else I could second-guess. Flyby changes that. And it's available now.

Another one of my projects, Cribbo, is getting its biggest update yet! Featuring a new UI, add flow, and price (now free!)! Calling all smart home aficionados!

Unfortunately, Flyby didn’t fly away with any #Shipaton honors, but I had a total blast! Update 1.2.2 just released and with it comes a series of improvements and a new feature called “Where’s the Light,” which shows how the sun is behaving at your takeoff point! #ios #iphone #drone #buildinpublic

A new update for Flyby is landing now! ✈️ I've been continuing to refine 3D scanning in Flyby, and now you'll actually see your drone take shape from a cloud of points while it's being built! apps.apple.com/us/app/flyby...

👀 Flyby is preparing for launch on #Android! Now to get started on the 3D stuff... #drone #dji #androidapp #buildinpublic

I got tired of checking 4 apps before every flight, so I built one 🚁 Wind at height, airspace, golden hour, all in one score. What do you check before you launch? #drone #iphoneapp #dji #ios

After my iPhone 15 Pro died (and was an absolute WASTE), I went back to my old iPhone 12 Pro. Straight up two of the worst iPhones ever made.

Flyby 1.2 is available now! ✈️ This update brings elevated-altitude wind readings, improvements to flight planning and logging, and more 3D enhancements! And that rounds out my 2026 #Shipaton! I've had an absolute blast participating. Flyby will return... Good luck to everyone submitting!

Flyby 1.2 is off for review! With any luck, the review gods will shine upon me one last time and it'll be out in time for the #Shipaton deadline, but only time will tell! Good luck to everyone submitting!

👀 First look at Flyby on iPhone Duo (simulator)! I can't wait for this phone! #shipaton #buildinpublic

Before turning off for the final time, my poor iPhone 15 Pro managed to capture one of Flyby's coolest features, coming soon to v1.1! #shipaton #buildinpublic *Drone scanning is still a work-in-progress. Video is sped up in parts. Propellers are now added manually after scanning.

It's official: my iPhone 15 Pro is dead. Swollen battery and a shoddy screen repair/broken Face ID. To quote Green Day... #iphoneduo

Flyby continues to see new users each day! Apple Search Ads are certainly helping with discovery, but it's awesome to see people exploring the app! #shipaton #buildinpublic

And that's a wrap! Flyby is officially submitted to the RevenueCat #Shipaton! ✈️ I've got a few more posts about Flyby before the battery is fully depleted, but I'm very proud of how this one turned out. Fingers crossed!! 🤞🏻

I made a short film to celebrate the release of my app, Flyby! It seemed fitting for app built around getting out and flying! #shortfilm #iphone #app #ios #shipaton

It's still very early, but Flyby has just passed my first app, Bit Buddy, in active users! Both are pretty niche apps, but seeing Flyby hit that milestone after only a few days is a really cool feeling!

I've been flying drones for years, but the decision to make Flyby wasn't always an obvious one to me. I just published the first Flyby Dev Log, looking at how my gripes with my preflight process led to an app. More: o13.link/b4-takeoff #Shipaton
