Welcome stranger to this humble neighbourhood. A Canadian, living in the Republic of Alberta. Full of joie de fucking vivre.

It wasn't until I read his tweet that I realized he wasn't talking about wildfire evacuation routes.

Canada has the critical minerals the world needs. We’re matching Ontario’s $1 billion investment to build road infrastructure to reach the Ring of Fire. To unlock our critical minerals supply chain. To create up to 70,000 jobs.

What a fucking loser.

After spending all week accusing Canada of election meddling, U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra now claims he was "taken out of context" and hasn't actually concluded we interfered. Funny how fast a bully changes their tune when Canada refuses to back down. 🇨🇦 FO Petey 🖕🤬 ~ Canadian Outlook

It would be grand, then, if the Government of Canada would terminate any use of X/Twitter. And don't say, "Oh, we need it to get our messages out," because then you are "caught in a situation where we are reliant on one provider."

Mark Carney on what Elon Musk's throttling of Starlink means for Canada: "We do not want to be caught in a situation where we are reliant on one provider that puts Canadians at risk or compromises our sovereignty, our ability to express our values and live our values."

Almost everything has gotten better. Even cars, even if they've gotten worse in some ways recently. Food, booze, weed, coffee, TV shows, video games, fly rods. Worse: candy and movies

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

My unpopular but persistent belief is that almost everything in our lives has gotten better and we’re weirdly incapable of seeing it.
