Not the obituary I wanted to see today... Walter was such a gift. He had this mischief in his acting that gave the characters such vitality. I don't think anyone else could have pulled off Bester

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

I live in the heart of Toronto, I see homeless and crime every day, I see the condition of the streets and services, and I am urging every Torontonian to vote for Olivia Chow. She hasn't been perfect, but I remember what it was like before and she is actively trying to fix problems

Put my mom on the train this afternoon, took an edible appropriate to give a rhino dental surgery, and watching Downton Abbey while eating seared corned beef on focaccia. Feeling a touch decadent

Calling them a rogues gallery is far too polite

It's like when you hear Klingons have two of everything and part of you says "No fucking way" but the other part says "Hayyyy what's up Mr. Ribbed-For-Pleasure?" #startrek

What are we even doing anymore, people

Something just hit me... Ukraine is the lynchpin of the future. The entire world will spin on how we react and what happens there. War is changing there, an empire is dying there, technology is accelerating there, culture is developing there. Russia will lose,

My thought is anyone sensible should throw in with them, whole hog, even to the point of joining the war, because it is such a point of potential and power that staying on the sidelines is like trying to exfoliate in a dust storm.

What happens in Ukraine directly affects what happens in Africa, what happens in the middle east, what happens in Asia, what happens across media, what spins this fucking world. And from what I see most aren't prepared for how to navigate what comes next

At the same time, middle powers are readjusting and looking at polycule politics, where there are networks of relationships spanning across the planet to absorb shocks rather than enforce will.

The world is restructuring under our feet. America is becoming less and less of a factor, and more of a deranged old man screaming at the moon. Russia may have already hit the point where it has no future, without enough Russians dedicated to the country to continue the identity for the next gen.

China is facing the very real scenario that Taiwan is forever outside their grasp militarily, because asymmetric warfare has shown it cannot sustain the losses necessary to take it. India is keeping its powder dry and not getting in the fuck around and find out contest.

But the degree of loss and the duration of this war will shape how everything changes. The looming US defeat in the middle east has countries there looking at Ukraine for defense tech. The military culture change world wide is looking at Ukraine. Global food supplies and resilience is looking

At Ukraine. Societies faced with aggressive neighbors are looking at Ukraine. For imperialist powers, the ideal outcome would actually be a quick Russian defeat to this war, because it will reduce the lessons that their prey can learn. At the same time I don't think any imperial powers will remain.

Hopefully this gets the recognition it deserves and tanks his campaign
