I thought of one for this today: Dog shit. There used to be a *lot* more dog shit on the streets. People these days don't always pick up after their dog, but it's way better than it was in the 1970s.

When I was growing up we'd just open the front door and let the dog go crap wherever, usually next to the bushes across the street. I'm sure our neighbors over there hated us for it. Probably why they got me, like, a sweater every Xmas.

There are a few other games we toyed with but didn't fully play. Like we made characters, maybe ran some combats, maybe started an adventure but never completed it. So I feel I should mention Top Secret, Call Of Cthulhu, and Traveler.

I'm digging around in @wordpress.org code trying to figure something out. Found this gem of code: function get_post_meta( $post_id, $key = '', $single = false ) { return get_metadata( 'post', $post_id, $key, $single ); } Awesome! A function that does nothing but call a function!

Even better: I slipped a print statement in there specifically trying to track calls for thumbnails and found out WordPress makes *three calls* to this for each thumbnail.

I complain a lot but every so often something decent happens. Not long ago I was complaining about @SoundCloud.dev and how they changed the interface so I couldn't paste multiple tags at once. I complained to customer service and they almost immediately fixed it! It works now! Amazing!
