This is a good article in the Washington Sun. Republicans sure drove this election straight into ugly racism and wallowed there. My only dispute is the framing. I don't think the political right has *moved*. I think they're more willing to say stuff, and we're seeing them better, but that's all.

"The sleeper issue that could decide the US Senate race in Texas." The secret? 'Corruption.' WaPo is shocked — Shocked, I say! — that people care about the corruption everyone's been shouting about, that fills the TV news, and that they've reported on every week. Is Bezos really that stupid?

When the polls close, counting starts. Small, rural, Republican-leaning districts finish fast; dense, Democratic cities are slower. Partisans shout, "It's taking too long!" to disenfranchise Democratic cities. Maybe we shouldn't elect people who are against free and fair elections? Just an idea.

Trump: "Nobody wanted to eat out… people would walk in and like the Wild West, 'Hold it up!' Everybody is standing there. Can you imagine?" Trump's repeating a scene in a movie as if happened. He can't tell the difference between real and make-believe because, to him, there was never a difference.

Trump talks about getting rid of the press pool. Maybe? It's not like they ask any of the tough questions. Not anymore. And getting Trump out of the headlines would be a net positive for most of us.

Dude. *Another* gay romance? I mean, that's… a lot. But you know, gay men who just admitted it can be man-sluts for a while. I get that. I appreciate that your advisors are telling you to hide it, but really. You're the President. There's nothing left to prove. It's time for you to come out.

Mitch McConnell is still dead, right? I know they reanimate him now and then, but I think he's dead right now. If *I* could barely move or speak, they'd have fired my ass in a New York minute. And then they'd have canceled my healthcare. Why can't all of us get the compassion that asshole gets?

Maybe I'm a snob. When I read articles like this, I wonder, "Are they stupid, or do they believe WE'RE stupid?" Inflation is how much prices *rise*. Even if inflation goes to zero, prices will NOT drop. And FYI? If prices drop across the board, something VERY bad is happening. You won't like it.

Oh, lookie. President Trump says that he hasn't even talked to Elon Musk about the Starshield slowdown. In other words, Trump said Musk started the slowdown, Musk runs Starshield instead of Trump, and Trump doesn't even care enough to look into it. They can't even get their lies straight.

Oh, noes! How can that happen?!? How can we possibly still be surprised that they're liars, and that nobody can trust the smallest thing they say without documented proof from multiple sources? What, are we fucking stupid?

These election crimes should be a major part of what we investigate in the next administration. Intimidation is election interference, which is a federal crime as well as a state crime in most states.

Is it a crime for an administration that uses public money to lie to the public about what it's doing? Asking for a few (hundred million) friends.

The Trump administration is still throttling Ukraine's access to Starshield. Liars. They're all just damn liars. Remember: Nothing that starts with "Donald Trump said…" ends well.

Trump endorses Vivek Ramaswamy's awful ad, siding with the woman who locked her young kids in the basement while her boyfriend raped the girl. Trump always sides with abusers. It's who he is. And it's the Epstein class: they protect each other. Assume they're still sex-trafficking kids.

Trump commits outrageous acts daily to distract us from the Epstein evidence. His DOJ breaks the law, ignores court orders, and defies an Act of Congress. Listen to him at rallies, and you hear echoes of the accusations. We know he's terrible, but Trump knows the FULL truth. It's why he's scared.

I won't call Trump's cult 'deplorables' (not my word), but I won't call them Christians. They're not. I'm not of the faith, but I was raised in it. Being Christian is HARD. It demands a lot. I've known devout people, and they're wonderful: kind, generous, giving. Trump and MAGA aren't close.

Oh, Trump's an Antichrist. That needs some explanation. For me, Trump isn't a 'Minion of Satan' because those are fairy tales. But if you *believe* in the Bible, Trump fits the bill: lawless, corrupt, and claims to be a savior while undermining every Christian value. Yup. That's the Antichrist.

I was walking between marches in DC when I passed this food truck just doing business on the Mall. "SCHWARMA TACOS QUESADILLAS CHEESESTEAKS BURGERS HOTDOGS FRIES..." So many nationalities! That's the American food scene. *This* is the diversity I celebrate.

Wow. Privatizing a critical safety function when we're reeling from unending food-poisoning disasters. Talk about a breathtakingly ill-considered position. Good shootin', WaPo! I wonder how Jeff Bezos figures to profit from it. You know there's a billionaire's interest in there somewhere.

Trump sees the White House as HIS property. And what do you do with nosy neighbors who keep prying? Why, you put big fences all around the joint. All this stuff just went up. And they must've been running late, because they were still putting up plywood on the 10/17 No Kings Day.

Imagine Elon Musk's options. He's so rich, he could end hunger in America and be RICHER by year's end. Lift people out of poverty and stop wars before they start. He could have our loyalty. Instead, Musk spends billions rigging elections. Sure, he's a sociopath, but more importantly, he's an idiot.

On the plus side, the Lincoln Memorial was open. They'd closed it and put up fences to keep everyone far away during the recent March on Washington. NG soldiers were standing around, but at least it was open.

Fuck outrage. Trump betrays our allies and funnels American Treasury cash to Putin and his allies. He blocks sanctions. He and his oligarchs cut network support for Ukraine at critical moments. Call him what he really is: a traitor.

There may be a real issue here. Somewhere. If we squint. RFK Jr. claims insurance companies 'enroll' people without their knowledge to collect service fees. Maybe? It's possible. And it'd be fraud. But if so, they'd prosecute those companies, and they're not. So no, probably another MAGA scam.

I don't mean to pick on this post, but why do we say this? We already know Trump is an racist amoral sociopath stripping the Treasure as overthrows democracy who'd burn a million children for $5 and some disingenuous praise. What's surprising? There's a reason we call the threat 'existential'.

Well, shit. Pope Leo's cancer surgery looks successful, but it's still unnerving to hear. I'm not Catholic — nor Christian — but he's a good man. Shame our fat boy can't be honest about his health this way.
