The lessons from Brazil and Serbia? Don't concede one inch of ground to the far right. Don't appease. Don't triangulate. Don't grovel. Don't say they have "legitimate concerns". Mobilise your base, and fight them with all the democratic means at your disposal.

Jared Kushner’s phone contains exactly what Republicans hoped to find on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Actually, we should immortalize those words: "if Republicans lose the election, it is voters’ fault." So, he admits it would not be a stolen election. It would be because the American people did not want Republicans and freely voted that way.

Serbia defeated a 14 year regime backed by Putin. Brazil stopped a takeover supported by the richest techno-oligarchs on the planet and meddling by the American government. Hungary finally ousted Viktor Orbán earlier this year. They did it by voting. Never tell me voting is useless.

An interviewer once asked Charles Schulz if he had ever considered hiring assistants to write/draw Peanuts for him. Schulz laughed and responded “I’d just as soon hire someone to play golf for me!”

The new cuts won’t go into effect until after the election. This is a dire situation to say the least. We have GOT to vote repubs OUT.

I visited MLK Community Hospital in South LA, the only safety-net hospital serving poor patients in the area. The ER was built for 25,000 patients a year; it gets 120,000. I saw patients getting treated in the gift shop, the chapel, in tents, even outdoors. And this is before the Medicaid cuts.

I’ve not given thought to this as my parents would never have fallen prey to the sickness. But this makes so much sense….. Always the victims.

In MAGA, parental estrangement is a big issue — and parents are held out as blameless victims. I suspect that's one reason why Vivek Ramaswamy ran an ad celebrating Amy Acton's vile mother. And why MAGA — including Vance and Trump — are backing him. www.salon.com/2026/10/23/r...

On one hand I’m glad CSA is finally having light shined brightly on it. It’s not a new abomination but a large number of people have been spared having to face the reality of it. And that includes finding that friends, relatives, spiritual leaders, etc, can be monsters. Protect children!!!

Agree. Only vote blue. There is not a single Republican at any level - national, state, local, school boards, whatever, deserving of a vote. None of them.

‘Trump thinks he’s a dictator, and he is unless we stop him.’ He’s also mentally unstable and boy howdy is that an understatement.

Mark Jacob@markjacob.bsky.social

I know a lot of people are complaining about the Trump regime's plot to kick a sitting member of Congress out of the country, but more people should be screaming about this. Trump thinks he's a dictator, and he is unless we stop him. Vote against all Republicans. Remind your family and friends, too.

Is there not ONE person of conscience and humanity who is brave enough to leak the Epstein files? (with victims names redacted) NOT ONE???!!!
