All games require updates before you can play, I get that. However I’ve been prompted 4 times to download Call of Duty’s campaign, despite my pre-installation. I just want to play my mindless shooty game

we've identified another vulnerability leak. now hackers on the dark web have identified your bad knee and that weird thing your shoulder does if you sleep on it wrong. there's no patch available for this, they're now just keenly aware you feel like your career has stalled out

Rats chewed through a vent and are in my attic Now I have to confront my fear/hatred of rats, going into scary attics, fiberglass and killing things

My Dad reminded me we watched an Oilers practice with Wayne Gretzky when I was 8 Apparently I was more excited that the West Edmonton Mall had a water park than I was to watch the Great One skate

Don’t mind me, I’m just over here freaking out about the Brewers winning 2 in a row against the Dodgers in the NLCS

Told my wife I bought protectors for some blu-ray cases She just sighed and said “that’s the most Matt thing I’ve ever heard” 18 years of successful marriage, ladies and gentlemen

Saw Heart of the Beast Movie was fine. Pitt should have have the cajones to fart as he passed out from the heart attack. We all read the Hatchet. We know what happens when a bush plane crashes because the pilot had a heart attack

In tornado footage my favorite type of guy is the Midwesterner who films next to a plate glass window yelling “it just tore da ruff off Menards!”

Do I want military bases to have redundancy in case of attack? Yes! This is just cheaping out on grid resiliency and calling it security

My wife played Choosin Texas in the car and now I’ve lost what little cultural cachet I had

This kind of take made a Rolling Stone writer so mad they wrote a whole piece about it.

Years ago i worked with a Head of IT who couldn’t figure out how to plug in his monitor Same vibes from Jensen

Ezra Klein asked Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang about AI making kids worse at math and reading. Huang’s reply: “Does it matter?” Then he said he doesn’t know his own address or phone number. “We’re going to lose some fine intellectual dexterity.” www.nytimes.com/2026/09/23/o...

It’s fine if you don’t know how to do a basic thing, and it’s great he asked for help! But not knowing a very basic thing clearly communicates that person is incurious and doesn’t care to learn That’s bad

We already have two cats, one of whom just had cancer surgery today, so this special lady will be sequestered into her own room for the evening. Tomorrow we’ll get her scanned for a chip, treat that eye infection, and get her any shots she might need.

Me: The Boomer nostalgia obsession is so tacky and toxic. Who would want to fill an entire room with Coke memorabilia? Also me 20 minutes later: That video store advertisement for Armageddon on VHS is going to look so cool in my movie room display
