I’ve been loving the Dirtywave M8 synth iOS app. 10/10, trackers are so hard for me. But I love to play with them. And M8 always looked peak but with it being so hard to get ahold of one, this is amazing. Bluetooth controller support!!

I see way too many MtG Arena decks that can’t win. They can stop me from winning, but they themselves cannot actually end the game. Dudes sitting there with 40 mana and just spends his entire turn undoing my previous turn. I win, because you run out of cards unless you can kill me

Problem is this takes, I kid you not, over an hour sometimes. It’s not fun. It’s worse at diamond. I give up all the time. These guys only win because they are ANNOYING and aren’t even trying to win, they are trying to get you to give up. Why is this part of the game lol

Okay. I get the point of robot answering machines. But personally if I myself am calling, I *promise you* it is not something the robot has ever heard of and I feel like I’m trying to explain my problem to a 2 year old child and trying to get them to get their mom for me.

We need to develop a captcha but for determining tech literacy before the call starts. Something to determine if this person has in fact already turned it off and on again multiple times and this call is a last ditch effort haha

Sub 10 dream is alive. 1.8 seconds away, give me a skip and I’m in. And this is an average of 15! I’m cookin

Magic Arena sucks man. I just lost on turn 2 to a dude with a 64/64 creature with trample. I had 2 mana. It’s impossible. There is literally nothing you can do about that unless you have a very specific type of block card.

You Can See Everything really doesn’t want you to “spoil it”. And I get it. But that means you can’t say anything, it’s hard to explain why it’s interesting and thought provoking without spoiling I guess the thing they want to keep secret.

When you watch Planet Earth the idea is to make the presence of a film crew invisible. You are there. But this it’s like, you’re there, and for that to be possible there is a film crew and it does fundamentally change the nature of the thing you are observing because now you are also a part of it

Anyway that’s the beautiful thing about Nathan search for the truth in all his work. Search for the truth almost in spite of the camera. He’s even more aware than we are than everything you see on TV is carefully crafted and desperately trying to dismantle that, with carefully crafted TV, I love it

If you watch the rehearsal and can’t guess what the surprise is down to the exact detail, then you need to watch the rehearsal again haha

My best non spoiler thought is Nathan is always very transparent about being a man with a camera. He wants you to know there are cameras around when you watch this reality show. I think that was the most interesting and creative choice, to put himself in the doc so you never forgot this was a doc.

I’ll say this, no spoilers. I would not have been interested in a documentary about Elizabeth Holmes inviting a film crew into her house for the last 30 days before her prison sentence. I am extremely interested in Nathan and Lace taking this project on. And if you know them, you already know

And I think if you already know, it’s not a spoiler. I clocked it from a mile away, it’s why I was excited about it. There are parts that absolutely surprised me but the “surprise” was not one of them haha

You Can See Everything is really good. I don’t really know what to say about it. It’s really open ended. I feel like a lot of people will sympathize with Holmes. Hell even I felt that at parts of this movie. But ultimately that is the trick it also tried to expose imo.

I ultimately really liked it but also kinda wanted to like it more? I dunno. I’ll say this, it ain’t winning best picture, that is delusional haha. My favorite thing Nathan has ever made is Rehearsal Season 2.

Guys nobody told me there was Garfield magic cards. Is this going to ruin the vibe of commander?

Had to get an ultrasound done on my neck and I was like “So is it a boy or a girl?” To the tech and she gave me the most unamused “hah” I’ve ever heard in my life.

Sub 10 before 2027 is looking less and less likely. I still only cracked 12 once ever. Since then I’ve hit 12 maybe 10/1000 times haha. I can rip a 16 sec average pretty consistently though!

Metal Gear Solid 4 feels like the peak sendoff of the narrative side of the series, so much fan service and callbacks and familiar faces. Then 5 was like, we’re done with the story, but we didn’t quite peak with the mechanics yet. They were cooking in 4 though!! The first act is 10/10

It truly felt like I was playing MGSV but in an active warzone, really unique and fun! You can help one side or the other and turn the tides of the battle and eventually you can even get one side friendly to you! I am going to play that through again after I finish

Ok Muse is good. I totally get why it’s overtaken chatGPT. Most casual AI folks I chat with aren’t actually using things like Claude Cowork or Code or Codex, they are stuck in chats. Agentic stuff is tricky from the phone because until now you had to have an instance running somewhere

Muse gives everyone a VM for their agent built in as part of the product. Free mac mini’s for everyone, basically.

That being said, it’s slick, it just works, and it’s impressive coming from all the agents we’ve seen come and go. I wish it wasn’t Meta. I get why they are pushing the designer, Gen Z billionaire exec is actually really chill and seems trustworthy.

THAT BEING SAID again, it’s Meta. They have a shit ton of work to do to earn back trust. They are literally a data broker, mostly make money from selling information about people that use their stuff.

This is why I hate MTG Arena man. He had 6 life when his turn started. Played one card, triggered this. What the fuck. Unstoppable infinite combo. Games fun and interesting but this type of shit exists, and this guy was nice but half the time I got some dude playing out the clock and being shitty

I can’t believe I have to even say this and the very idea of it is abhorrent. But you can’t live stream that on the internet. No ISP will take that on, no website would host that. White house is not capable of putting that on. Netflix can barely do it

You Can See Everything looks like a scripted movie with actors, not a documentary. I think it’s because it is. Everyone is 100% acting, that’s Nathan’s whole thing, and that’s absolutely Holmes whole thing too lol

IT guy needed me to rsync some stuff and I’m not that good at linux and he goes “oh yeah Claude can spit that out no problem” and I was just so glad people are finally being open haha

Holy fuck I have not played a game like Magic the gathering arena in a long time and I remember why. People fucking SUCK so rude and bad sports. It’s unbelievable, it’s like half the games. I can’t even do it, I have to step away. It’s a fun game. The online version fucking suuuuuuuucks

I like Magic but holy hell I’m impatient. In Arena especially, it’s a phone game. People will sit there with 3 cards in their hand and think for the full 4 minutes. The only state change is one new card. You telling me that card took 4 min to read and understand and rework all your grand plans

I’ll play a land and PASS and this guy was like “hmmmm, what to do now” do you have a plan? Are you having to read every card and the rules again on every turn? You can do that on my turn too. I didn’t even change the board state brother there’s nothing to react to

Finally learned how to play Magic, got a starter deck. It was fun, and I get my deck pretty well, knew what I was hoping to get. Did not get combat very well, because it’s so dang hard to understand other people’s shit too haha.

Hear an idea. Remy, the kid who conflates acting with real life and wants Nathan to be his real dad in the finale, is a representation of how we all interact with reality TV.

Just like the actual subject of a lot of Nathan’s work. It’s an ever evolving part of culture. We don’t interface with reality TV the same way we did 20 years ago. And we won’t interface the same 20 years from now

Nathan’s body of work, imo, has been an evolving analysis of media’s attempts and his own genuine attempts to capture the essence of true reality on TV, or prove that it’s impossible, with jokes. Closest thing I’ve seen to this outside of Nathan is Jury Duty btw.

Anyway, it convinces a lot of people. It seems super real. You fight for these people. You defend them. You hate them. You believe in them. Just like Remy believed in Nathan’s character.

I don’t know exactly what Nathan is trying to say. I don’t think even he knows it quite yet. Hes got a really good idea, perspective. He’s thinking about this idea and exploring it with art, trying to figure it out. I don’t think he would say “yeah, that’s it, you get it”. It’s a work in progress

We want it to be real so bad. The TV does everything it can to convince us this is real. And sometimes the show genuinely is trying to capture reality, like Nathan often does. But the very nature of producing a show affects how real it can actually be.

Nat Geo is like, the most real reality TV possible, because the subjects are unaware they are on TV. Even Truman show is like, pretty close, but not quite, cause everyone else is acting. And with real TV we’ve decided it’s actually not ok to put someone on TV without consent.

It’s tough trying to record a cube solve to post because yeah my record is 11 seconds, I can rip a 15 second avg. on camera though? Lucky to catch a single sub 20.

Okay hold up. MGS4 is fucking awesome. I think 3 lost me because there wasn’t enough gameplay space for the game to breathe. In 4 they just drop you in a warzone and it’s awesome! Still sneaking but sneaking around a battlefield, so far it’s my favorite.

I like that they officially call him Old Snake in MGS4. I also like that instead of stamina it’s stress levels lol

I’m so glad to have this on switch. I can just turn it off and resume anytime I want. I would not have the patience to sit through this 8 hour movie on my PC
