I saw a Sun Dog yesterday.

My Halloween decorations are done!!

Sir Ian McKellen orates 'The Stranger's Case' from 'Sir Thomas More' by Shakespeare about the Evil May Day xenophobic riot of 1517 in London. This passage was written 400 years ago, but times never change. Humanity refuses to change its unwarranted bias against 'others'.

Bee sleeping in flower.

Pretty little Pearl Crescent butterfly on Frost Aster.

Adorable.

Wild Asters and the pumpkin still trying to get pollinated.

Tattoo thoughts.

Peanut says HI to everyone on National Dog Day.

Goldfinch on Sunflower.

For my Minnesota friends.

Eastern Tailed Blues and a Grasshopper puddling where Miss Peanut peed earlier. I see a few of these tiny butterflies every summer, but never this many.

More Jerusalem Artichokes blooming!

Exactly!

I successfully grew a Jerusalem Artichoke from a tiny tuber nugget!! Yay me!!

Look at Rod Stewart!

A new shade on one of my extremely cross pollinated sunflowers. Just a blush of brown on one of the light yellow ones. @xochiptx.bsky.social

True.

That's my Governor!

I'm still ridiculously proud of these Coneflowers.

❤️❤️❤️

Who needs to see a sunflower hugging itself today?

Happy sunflowers.

A duck, on a dam, in our ditch.

He's saying everything he can to ramp up the paranoia with his faithful MAGA morons. Stay strong my dear people, it's going to be really bumpy between now and November.

This.

It's all about sunflowers around here.

Today's bloomer, Wild Bergamot.

Second Sunflower of the year. It's my favorite time of year!!

First sunflower of the season.

Feral Pumpkin.

My one single Coneflower is going to bloom.

It's hollyhock season!!

Stormy afternoon.

Big stretch!!

My 6 year old Catalpa tree is blooming. This tree was a 3' stick with roots when I planted it.

The tall grass is blooming.

I've been scratching my head about what that bright light could be. It's coming from the field, there is nothing out there.

Bunny in my jungle of a yard this morning.

See this girl? She has absolutely no regrets for slipping her collar and having a jaunt around the field.

It's a good year for volunteer Sunflowers.

Took a little woods walk this morning. Wild Geranium, Mayapple, Jack in the Pulpit and Solomon's Plume.

Really Ted?

Stray cat fight in my shed just now, did not amuse me or Peanut.

Baby Sunflowers are coming up everywhere!!

Look what my idiot brother did to the windbreak my Mother planted 25 years ago!! She planted these as tiny baby trees, set up an electric fence to keep the cows we had then out, mowed so carefully around them for years...and in one evening he ruined it all.

Today we went riding. It's to fucking WINDY to do anything else.

❤️ Bruce!
