A nice quality of life feature coming to Bedrock Realms in 26.60: You'll be able to easily see which packs are applied to each world slot in Realm Hub🙂

I went to this because I didn't want to pass on the opportunity with it being so close. I had no idea how much I would appreciate it, and not even just for the event itself. 🧵 [1/7] #Minecraft

Obvious scam, don't give away your Minecraft account. Signs: -Email address not from one of our domains -Overly detailed texture -Inconsistent language (Minecon Live vs Minecon in-person, Special Cape is different) -Offered to players from up to 15 years ago without obvious marketing benefit

We're updating how uploads and downloads work on Bedrock and Java Realms to make them faster and more reliable, including with really big worlds.😁 The new "Upload V2" feature is available in today's Bedrock Preview. Status text of what's going on, faster, and more reliable! 😎

We're all busy playing Minecraft Dungeons II today, but we did squeeze in the time to open up 784 iOS Minecraft Preview slots! As always, these can be found for a limited time at aka.ms/PreviewApple. See you next month!

Fun fact, I kinda sorta art directed this one? The original was one of our spare Dungeons II concepts, a Sift-like cape. I held onto it for a while, gave additional feedback, and two more Minecraft artists worked on the cape and wings. I think I named it too, it’s been “aurora” for a while.

We'll be upgrading how Realm uploads and downloads work! 😁 Faster, more reliable, and better handling of big worlds for Bedrock and Java The first step is in today's 26.60.29 Preview where you can try out the improved world downloads. Try it out and let me know what you think

Hope folks enjoyed #MinecraftLive. So pumped that we finally revealed that we are bringing the Sift to Vanilla Minecraft. We have been working so hard to make this a reality and being able to share with the world a new dimension is coming to Vanilla is so exciting!

Dungeons II launch party tonight. They had the Gamescom demo going, where you play from entering the Deep Dark to beating the Twisted Warden. 12 minute demo, my team beat it with 3 minutes left. The winners? 4 designers with 7:54 remaining. 😮 Anyone want to try to beat that in a few days? 😁

Packaging some items for a charity event this year. Some very old and rare things here! That pickaxe makes good on a promise I made to the dev team in 2011, before I worked at Mojang, that all items they signed would go to charity. The last one just took a while! Stay tuned for how to obtain one!

Bedrock Realms sneak peek 👀 In 26.60, we're adding a brand new "Invite Realm members" screen. Now you can just type in the name of the player you want to add and invite them with a single click! It also will show you people you've played with recently and your followers.

It's getting cooler around here, and I hear Pumpkin Spice is back. Yuck! A more appetizing option might be these 1070 iOS Minecraft Preview slots we opened up today! As always, these can be found for a limited time at aka.ms/PreviewApple. See you next month!

Some very observant community members have noticed a purple Realms button in the Java Snapshot files this week 🧐 We experimented internally with what it'd look like as a purple button, similar to Bedrock, but we're planning on leaving it grey at this time 🙂

On my way to the airport, so more random Dungeons II facts. One of the many, many things I’ve done with this game was working with our consumer products team. They wanted about 18 months lead time before the game’s launch. Why so far in advance, how do you use WIP features, and why the “leaks”?

Java Realms sneak peek 👀 Our last new Realms feature for 26.3 is an updated Realms purchasing experience. Our charming pixel art helps explain clearly what Realms are and why they are worth adding 😀

Random fact: there’s a fly in Dungeons II that’s less than an ambient mob, it’s just a little screen effect. It won’t be in any marketing or toy, it’s not important. But it’s a “new Minecraft creature” so I asked for it to get a real, non-dev name. So the little fly is a “trill”.

Despite having a "no pop culture references" rule for Dungeons' achievements, sometimes something gets *really* stuck in my head and I need to walk away for a while to get a reset 😂 Like many nerds, I can speak in memes and that's kind of a downside here.

Java Realms sneak peek 👀 In the next Java snapshot, we're going to try giving players a render distance and sim distance slider for their Java Realms and increasing the render distance limit to 25 chunks. Here's an example of what that looks like on one of my Java Realms 😁

Here's what the sliders look like in game. Each Realm has unique demands, so we want to give you full control to adjust the settings for your specific world 🙂

We've added Invite Codes to Java Realms in this week's snapshot! From the Players screen, you can access this new UI for creating invite codes. Anyone who you share the invite code with can join your Java Realm without needing to be directly invited. Great for busy Realms! 😁
