🎃 Antiva City 🎃@antivacity.bsky.social

Let’s keep the positive memories flowing, but this time… let’s think of those characters we enjoy *fighting* with either words or swords/light sabers/omni blades. 😀 Doesn’t have to be primary antagonists! I’ll start! Calivan; a Venatori with such middle manager energy! So fun! #BioWare

He's probably not a minor NPC, per se but Gorim with his fine dwarven crafts, will also be famous. However, I'm going to go for Mhairi because if she'd lived, we'd have had Alix Wilton Regan as a companion to the HoF/Orlesian Warden.

Let’s have some fun in here, and a little friendly reminiscing is always helpful when times are hard. So I ask you: Favorite minor npc in a BioWare game? 👀 Who stuck with you? 🤔 #BioWare

This is amazing work! I do wish it was up for longer but I do know other billboards are coming. #SaveMassEffect

Let’s Save Mass Effect@donkey-kongus.bsky.social

And the Billboard is up! Thank you so much @kalaelizabeth.bsky.social and @wearemasseffect.bsky.social and everyone else who has made this possible. We will #SaveMassEffect and by Proxy Save BioWare and/or their legacy. Including Dragon Age

This is what I want, too. I want most, if not all of the 50 devs to finish Mass Effect 5 but as an Independent studio and to also hire more devs. Although I don't know why Mary DeMarle left back in January. Hopefully it was for sensible reasons and not a falling out.

One thing I've learnt in the past few days: Fuckwit gamers TM. hate Mass Effect: Andromeda and don't think it's canon becausey the hate it. Fuckwit gamers TM. also don't know what the term retcon actually means and keep using it incorrectly. Same as it ever was.

So earlier, my brother was watching Octobinz (Romain Toutain)'s livestream on Twitch. He was the Technical Director on Mass Effect Universe, so I wanted to share some bits he discussed. As he speaks french, I added subtitles to make it more accessible for everyone! #MassEffect #MassEffectUniverse

Looking forward to seeing what Mary, Sylvia and Sarah are cooking up.

BioWare's loss has impacted our team as many of us spent over a decade working on their games. While we'll never be able to recapture the glory days exactly as they were, you can find some of the former BW team are still here, still making games, trying to do our roots proud.

'While the "Mass Effect effect" line is a bit of a clunker, Lewis showed off his gamer cred in response to an inquiry on X: When asked who he romanced in Mass Effect 2, he replied, "If I'm honest, I'm a Mass Effect 1 on the PS3 type of guy."' Oh he absolutely romanced Liara.

This sounds like they have a relatively well-known VA involved to voice FemJun. I just hope it's not Jennifer Hale (that'd be a bit weird). But I guess this also means we'll be getting one fixed voice and not an American/English voice, like in DA:I/DA:TV. I can live with that.

EXODUS@exodusgameofficial.bsky.social

FemJun on your mind? Ours too. She's coming... soon™. We've got something special cooking for her reveal, and we think it'll be worth the wait. Find out more in the October Community Update ⤵️ www.exodusgame.com/news/october...

Fuck, man, fuck. It's a bit rough in places, as is to be expected but fuck, this genuinely could have been something good. Still only cutscenes, though, with a tiny bit of combat gameplay.

Even if you dislike Dragon Age: The Veilguard's writing and narrative and maybe even the visuals, you can't say with a straight face that it was trash. The cinematics alone were amazing. Voice Acting was excellent and the Character Creator (even with its flaws) was amazing.

Tom's a real one. Thanks for giving us "Scott" Ryder, Tom. You did an amazing job! 😀

I read ALL of the Codex entries in the ME trilogy. I sat and let Neil Ross read them to me. (This is why I have reads, like my HotS Hero breakdown, that sound like that - I just like Neil. I wanted my version of Neil's read)

I now have permission to share something I hoped would be revealed with much more fanfare I spent more than 3 years as one of the writers of #MassEffect4 It was one of the greatest privileges & GLORIOUS challenges of my life So when I say I am devastated by the end of #MassEffect I REALLY mean it

Bioware represented me beating everyone who told me I couldn't. I did the impossible I shipped a Dragon Age as a Senior Systems Designer. I didn't want to be one of the last ones to get a Bioware employee hoodie. Others deserved that feeling too. This is a profound loss

For me, the annoying thing about all this, besides all the devs being laid off and years of fantastic video game history being flushed down the toilet just to corporate greed and capitalism, is nobody else makes BioWare-like games and there's now a huge hole in the gaming space.

Absolutely destroyed by the news about BioWare today… As difficult as Veilguard was, those were some of the best, most talented and passionate people I’ve ever worked with and I’d give anything to do it again if it meant I got to do it with them. I genuinely had some of my best years there.

Oooh, not read this. I'll absolutely give this a read.

Game Informer@gameinformer.com

In 2016, we published potentially the largest single feature to ever appear in Game Informer magazine with a full oral history of the legendary studio, BioWare. We've made that feature available online following reports of the studio's impending closure. gameinformer.com/feature/2026...

I will always be grateful to Bioware for bringing Lucanis into my life and, by extension, you all. In a meager attempt to brighten the mood, I am asking you to submit your cameo like prompts here. On Friday, I will create a poll with selected prompts and you can vote on which you'd like me to do. Go

Consolidation is killing our industry. The Gamergaters who make money off the rage game will have you think this is a victory. This is purely a loss. A loss of work and art and fun and expression in a space that desperately needs it. Massive fucking bummer.
