It’s always boom and bust in America. This time, with AI, I’m cheering for it. The technology is great, and we are learning about ourselves building this… but the people running it all suck. The tech. will live on, just like the Internet after the dot.com crash.

Back in the 1980s, if you told me that Trump would be President one day, I'm pretty sure I would have thought the future was pretty fucked.

If the Dems end up with Congress and Senate control... they must pass big bold legislation. If Trump vitos it then blame for doing nothing will rest squarely on him and the Republicans.

Perhaps after decades of do-nothing federal government the smallest "wins" seem grand. If the Democrats get back in power, they need to do big things or this horrible cycle is going to continue.

My point is that if Democrats get control they need to fight and get things done. I didn't set out to criticize Obama, but it's true that while I admire him he didn't get much done... and look where we are now. That's irrelevant anyway. The Dems need to make big changes happen. That's the point.
