Amidst a Conservative wave, the only BC riding to flip from blue to orange was mine, Courtenay-Comox. It’s always been a swing riding, but incumbent Brennan Day angered lots of RWNJs by not being right enough, walking out on KLF, and being pro-K’omoks treaty.

Today I fully expect BC voters to misunderstand how strategic voting and vote splitting work, and to forget that in our parliamentary democracy, every riding is a different election. The results will likely be a government of Alberta Junior wannabes, racists, bigots, and traitors.

FFS people, remember that every riding is a different election: if you’re in a GPC stronghold, vote Green, CentreBC stronghold, vote for them. If not, vote BCNDP, awful as they are. Partisan vote splitting will lead to a BC Conservative majority. Vote least bad option.

If recent referendum and election results have taught us anything, it’s that about 30-50% of voters everywhere are stupid AF, and probably racists and bigots too. Voters literally have the entirety of humanity’s knowledge in their pocket, but would rather believe absolute nonsense. We are doomed.
