A few months back, one of my close friends lost their cat Max at 17 years old. Thank you @eskiworks.bsky.social for a wonderful memorial portrait.

Apparently under Canadian Labor Laws, you only are entitled to a single 30 minute break. And that can be divided into two 15 minutes. I thought Canada would be a bit more progressive and require a 30 minute lunch PLUS two 15 minute breaks.

RIP BioWare. Mass Effect and Dragon Age were among my all time favorites and I played them a bunch of times.

Having a brand new TV after having a TV that was 15 years old is leaving me a bit stunned. What do you mean the TV remote can control my PS5?! This is madness. (I'm geeking out over things that have been part of smart TVs for years)

Kitty update! It's been a while since we had labwork. Kitty is mostly back to her old self. Slightly underweight, but eating regularly and being active. Most her labwork is good, and even seen improvement back to baseline. Unfortunately, her calcium levels are elevated, so that's a new concern.

For a bit more information, kitty's SDMA went down from 21 to 17 and creatine values are down from 3.1 to 2.2 (almost normal ranges!), and Phos went down from 8.0 to 4.6 (normal range!). So while we're still high, this is all pretty manageable. Hopefully we can figure out the calcium (14.1).

Right now, there's some tests we can run with bloodwork to try to figure out the cause. The big concern would be cancer, but there could be several other reasons. She doesn't seem ill otherwise, so hopefully have time to figure things out.

I feel like between Mist and Snow, Mist ends up being more popular. Possibly just the difference in design? Or perhaps because cheetah vs snep? Or maybe it's just that Mist has the more outgoing personality. Just some idle musing.

I just want to say that Control Resonant has been an excellent game so far. I thought I was getting near the end, but there’s so much more to do!

Still loving how this modern Snow came out. Maybe we’ll see them again.

A more modern Snow giving us a nice acoustic performance (they/them) For Coldin 💙

Thinking back on Lanterns. Overall, I enjoyed the season. But man, I wish they actually did more with the ring. I’m sure CGI was out of budget, but it was cool every time seeing that interpretation of the ring constructs.

There’s some hope we might see Democrats retake some power in the government. I heard this before. I don’t want to rely on polls. If you’re able to vote, please vote. Get a friend to vote too. Let’s not even give the GOP a chance.

The Star Art by @itthatmeowed.bsky.social Really enjoy how this tarot turned out. Seeing Mist in interesting vistas really captures her adventuring spirit.

Sometimes I like to think how my characters might be in a modern setting. Here's Snow as an indie musician. Still reserved, but expresses themselves in their music. Picking up gigs at bars in between busking on the streets. Thanks to @zibe.bsky.social for drawing Snow again, and nailing the vibe.

Grumble. Dealing with a neighbor who has been smoking cigs at least three times a day just outside my apartment. Which if I leave any windows open, all that smoke blows right in. I've made a couple complaints already. You would think maybe that would get them to at least be more covert. But nope.

Do what you want to your own body. But if you're gonna smoke in a smoke free apartment, do it way away from the building. Not just outside your door. 😾

I still mask up when going to the grocery store or any decently populated location. I haven’t been super sick in years, when it used to be a regular occurrence. Masking works.

Kelly@broadwaybabyto.bsky.social

I think we missed a huge opportunity to normalize masking as a public health tool. We eradicated an entire strain of the flu with Covid prevention measures. Masking shows respect for those around you. It shows solidarity with the disability community. It shows you value long term health.

I was always scared of that scene from The Last Crusade. It's kinda silly now in retrospect.

Finally have my Steam Frame, and finally have the prescription inserts! Been having a lot fun just messing with stuff and playing around with settings. It’s kinda funny that just messing with tech and menus is interesting all on its own. That said, did grab this selfie in VRchat.

Finally saw John Wick 4. Spoilers ahead. Fight scenes were cool, as always. Maybe a bit drawn out to pad the run time in a couple places? I would appreciated a few more downtime scenes. Story was weird. It kind feels like they had one story for the beginning, and a different story for the end.

Starts out with Wick going after the High Table, and then he just like...gives up on that. Maybe it's just the world today, but I would have really wanted to see the High Table actually get consequences. Even more disappointing to learn a John Wick 5 won't even deal with the High Table.
